Disney+: Beatles ’64
What it is
Available November 29, Beatles ’64 is a 1-hour, 46-minute music documentary about the Beatles’ cultural impact after their three-week United States visit in February 1964. Its focus is that breakthrough moment and its social effect, rather than a complete history of the band’s career.

Who should watch
This is the week’s clearest choice for Beatles fans and viewers interested in 1960s music culture. Disney+ Canada is the relevant catalog; do not substitute a U.S. listing when checking availability.
Netflix: three sharply different releases
Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey
The three-episode documentary series arrives November 25, with episodes running approximately an hour. It examines police errors and intense media attention surrounding the 1996 murder of JonBenét Ramsey. Because the case concerns a murdered child and remains publicly disputed, treat investigative claims as the documentary’s framing and its sources’ allegations—not as an independently established conclusion.
Our Little Secret
Netflix’s November 27 seasonal option is a 1-hour, 41-minute Christmas romantic comedy. Two resentful exes discover that their current partners are siblings and must spend Christmas together. Lindsay Lohan, Ian Harding, Kristin Chenoweth and Tim Meadows star; Toronto actor Henry Czerny is also in the cast. It is the light counterpoint to the week’s darker true-crime and espionage programming.

- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
The Madness
Premiering November 28, this eight-episode conspiracy thriller follows a media pundit who discovers the body of a notorious white supremacist and becomes implicated in the killing. Colman Domingo, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham and John Ortiz lead the cast.
The series has a substantial Toronto connection: it was filmed in Toronto, and Toronto’s Clement Virgo directed numerous episodes. That is a filming and directing connection, not by itself proof that the series is Canadian-produced.
Paramount+: The Agency
The week’s major star-driven launch
The Agency arrives in Canada November 29 as a 10-episode espionage thriller created by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. Michael Fassbender plays an undercover CIA operative ordered to abandon his covert identity for a critical mission, confronting the consequences of that decision. Jodie Turner-Smith, Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere co-star.

- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
The 10-episode count describes the season; it does not establish that all episodes were released at once. Check Paramount+ Canada’s schedule for the actual cadence. For viewers choosing one service for this week’s biggest scripted launch, this is the most obvious candidate.
Prime Video: Canadian reality, game history and a storm movie
Hard North
This eight-episode reality series, dated November 29, follows young Canadians trying to build lives in remote and demanding environments. Locations and participants mentioned include Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula and Peawanuck, Ontario. It is the roundup’s strongest explicitly Canada-focused selection.

It’s in the Game: Madden NFL
Also dated November 29, this four-episode documentary series traces the history of Electronic Arts’ Madden NFL video-game franchise. Its subject is the game series and its development history—not an NFL documentary about the league itself. It suits sports fans, gamers and viewers curious about how a major entertainment franchise was built.
Twisters
The disaster film reaches the Canadian Prime Video catalog November 29 after its July 19, 2024 theatrical release. Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos and Brandon Perea star as storm chasers investigating a tornado outbreak in Oklahoma. Runtime is 2 hours, 2 minutes.
Prime Video’s search results can combine subscription titles with paid rentals and purchases. Treat Twisters as a Prime subscription pick only if the Canadian listing says it is included with Prime; otherwise, its November 29 date may refer to transactional availability.

Best pick by viewer
- Prestige or star-driven thriller: The Agency.
- Most distinctly Canadian: Hard North.

- True crime: Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, with its sensitive subject matter and attributed claims.
- Canadian production connection: The Madness, filmed in Toronto and featuring Toronto director Clement Virgo.
- Holiday comedy: Our Little Secret.
- Gaming and sports history: It’s in the Game: Madden NFL.
- Blockbuster disaster: Twisters, subject to Prime’s Canadian entitlement label.
Subscription value for this particular week
For a single-title subscription, The Agency is the clearest reason to consider one month of Paramount+. Netflix offers the broadest mix across this week’s list—true crime, conspiracy thriller and Christmas comedy—so it is the better fit if you expect to watch several genres. Disney+ is a narrower purchase if Beatles ’64 is your only target, unless your household already uses its wider Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars or National Geographic catalog. Prime Video offers the widest variety here, but the rental-versus-included distinction makes it the riskiest choice for a one-title subscription.
For reference, the original November 2024 article listed these Canadian prices: Disney+ Standard with Ads at $7.99/month, Standard at $11.99/month or $119.99/year, and Premium at $14.99/month or $149.99/year; Netflix Standard with Ads at $5.99/month, Standard at $16.49/month and Premium at $20.99/month; Paramount+ Standard at $10.99/month and Premium at $124.99/year; and Prime membership at $99/year, with $2.99/month to remove ads. These are historical figures, not current prices. Promotions and plan features change, so check the Canadian signup pages before paying: Disney+, Netflix, Paramount+ and Amazon Prime.
What this date range does—and does not—tell you
- The dates identify Canadian launch days from November 25 through December 1, 2024; they do not guarantee a midnight release.
- Episode totals do not prove that every episode was released simultaneously.
- Availability can change after the week covered here, and catalog rights can differ by country or territory.
- A title appearing in Prime Video search does not prove it is included in the base Prime membership.
- This is a historical guide, not a current 2026 availability calendar.
The Bottom Line
For this November 25–December 1, 2024 Canadian streaming week, start with The Agency for a new espionage drama, Hard North for the strongest Canadian focus, or Netflix if you want several contrasting genres. Verify Prime Video’s entitlement label before treating Twisters or either documentary as included with membership.
