Because the launch date is now in the past, it should not be treated as an upcoming release. Streaming rights can change, so a current search in the Canadian service remains the authoritative way to determine whether the title is still available.

Is SCTV included with a regular Prime membership?
The announcement did not state whether SCTV is included in a standard Canadian Prime membership, requires a standalone Prime Video subscription, carries a separate rental or purchase charge, or is delivered through a paid channel. Prime Video also offers channel-based subscriptions in Canada, as shown on its Prime Video Channels page.
That platform structure does not establish SCTV’s own price. Use the title page’s current access label and checkout screen; do not assume that a Prime subscription automatically includes the series. Why the series matters
SCTV presents a fictional television station and the programming produced during its broadcast day. The series aired intermittently from 1976 through 1984 and became associated with performers including Catherine O’Hara, John Candy, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Rick Moranis and Harold Ramis. Those names describe notable performers connected with the programme; they should not be read as a claim that every performer appeared in every season or sketch.
MobileSyrup characterized comprehensive legal access as historically difficult, with viewers often encountering individual episodes or clips rather than one dependable home for the catalogue. A centralized Prime Video listing could make revisiting the series considerably simpler for Canadian viewers, while still leaving the exact scope of the package to the service’s own episode list.

What about the 2018 reunion project?
The reported Prime Video announcement should be kept separate from a later reunion project discussed in the same coverage. A 2018 project involving Martin Scorsese and Jimmy Kimmel was announced and filmed, but the reporting described its ultimate release status as unclear. Nothing in the available announcement confirms that this reunion special is part of the Prime Video SCTV catalogue.

Viewers outside Canada should search their local Prime Video storefront rather than assume that the Canadian deal applies to them. A virtual private network or a Canadian account also does not guarantee that a title can be legally viewed under another territory’s terms.
