No—not officially. Disney+ currently supports streaming on Windows 11, but Disney’s download documentation excludes Windows computers and Windows 10/11 tablets. To watch a movie offline, you need a supported mobile device, an eligible subscription plan, and the Disney+ app. A download made on a phone or tablet cannot be copied to Windows as a normal video file.
What works on Windows 11—and what does not

Installing the Windows app is only an installation of a streaming app. It does not add the mobile Download button.
How to watch Disney+ on Windows 11
Option 1: Use a supported browser
- Open Start, select Settings, then Windows Update.
- Choose Check for updates and install any available update. Restart if prompted.
- Update Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Opera to its latest available version.
- Visit Disney+ in the browser, sign in, choose a movie, and select Play.
Option 2: Install the Windows app
- Open the Microsoft Store.
- Search for the official Disney+ app and select Install.
- Open the app, sign in, choose a title, and select Play.
Both methods require an internet connection for streaming. If playback fails, close and reopen Disney+, restart the PC, check the connection, temporarily disable browser extensions, and try another supported browser. The official way to watch a movie offline
Use the Disney+ mobile app on a supported device. The exact labels can vary slightly by device, but the process is:

- Sign in to your Disney+ account.
- Open the movie’s title page.
- Select Download below the Play button.
- Wait until the download indicator shows that the title is complete.
- Open the app’s Downloads section and select the movie to play it offline.
For a series, the Download control appears on the episode page rather than on a movie-style title page. Disney documents download instructions and supported devices at Disney+ downloads.
Requirements before you download
- Eligible plan: In the U.S. documentation reviewed, Disney+ Premium supports downloads, while the ad-supported standalone plan does not. Eligible Premium bundles may also include downloads. Plan names and availability vary by country, so check the plan description in your account or at Disney’s pricing page.
- Supported device: Windows laptops, desktops, and Windows 10/11 tablets are not download devices.
- Downloadable title: Disney notes that some titles may not be available for download.
- Current app and storage: Update the app and ensure the device has enough free space.
- Internet connection: Use a reliable connection for the initial download, then connect the device online periodically for verification.
Disney says downloads can be stored on up to 10 supported mobile devices, subject to plan eligibility and available storage. Standard, Medium, and High download-quality choices are documented for supported mobile devices; higher quality uses more space and generally takes longer.

Why the Download button is missing
- You are using Windows. Windows computers and Windows 10/11 tablets cannot download Disney+ content through the official service.
- Your plan is ineligible. Ad-supported Disney+ plans do not provide downloads in the cited U.S. documentation.
- The title is restricted. Not every movie or episode is downloadable.
- The app is outdated. Update it through your device’s app store.
- Storage is insufficient. Delete unneeded downloads or free space on the device.
- The connection failed. Retry on a stable Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection.
- The title is temporarily unavailable. Licensing or service conditions can make a download control disappear.

How long downloads remain available
Downloads are not permanent video files. Disney says the device must connect to the internet at least once every 30 days while the subscription remains active. A title can become unavailable sooner if it leaves the Disney+ streaming library.

- Logging out removes downloaded content from the device.
- Canceling the subscription removes access to downloads.
- Changing to a plan that does not support downloads can also remove access.
- Connect the mobile device before a trip and periodically afterward so Disney+ can verify the account and title rights.
Can you move a phone download to a Windows laptop?
No official transfer method is provided. Disney+ downloads are app-managed, device-specific offline copies, not ordinary MP4 files. They are not intended to be copied through USB, opened in VLC, saved to a Windows folder, or transferred from the mobile app.
Browser “download” controls, screen recorders, DRM-removal programs, unofficial downloaders, torrent sites, and extensions claiming to unlock Windows downloads are unsupported. They can create account, privacy, security, copyright, or malware risks and do not change Disney’s device limitation.

In the U.S. pricing information reviewed, Disney+ with Ads was listed at $11.99 per month and Disney+ Premium at $18.99 per month or $189.99 per year. Treat those figures as time- and region-specific and verify the current price before subscribing.
Bottom line for Windows 11 users
Windows 11 is a supported Disney+ streaming platform, not an official Disney+ download platform. Use a browser or the Windows app when you have internet access. For offline viewing, use an eligible plan and the Disney+ app on a supported mobile device; do not expect to transfer that download to a Windows computer.
