Eligible T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, T-Mobile Home Internet and qualifying small-business customers could claim a subscription covering the 2024 regular season through the T Life app from March 26 through April 1, 2024. That redemption window is closed, so the offer cannot be newly claimed now.
What T-Mobile offered
T-Mobile announced the promotion on March 25, 2024, describing the season-long MLB.TV benefit as a $149.99 value. The benefit was intended for the 2024 MLB regular season and followed MLB.TV’s own terms, including blackout rules. See T-Mobile’s announcement.
The included MLB.TV features were:
- Live and on-demand access to out-of-market regular-season games
- Home and away broadcast feeds
- On-demand access to in-market regular-season games
- Support for compatible viewing devices
- Live-game DVR controls such as pause and rewind
- HD viewing
The promotion should not be described as a subscription to MLB Network. The available official materials establish an MLB.TV benefit, not MLB Network access.

“Qualifying service” controlled final eligibility. The announcement does not establish that every prepaid line, data-only account or other account type qualified, and later annual promotions may use different rules.
How redemption worked in 2024
- Open the T Life app.
- Open T-Mobile Tuesdays.
- Find the MLB.TV promotion and tap the offer to follow its redemption prompts.
- Use the promotional link to continue to MLB.TV.
- Sign in with an existing MLB.com account or create one.
- Complete the MLB.TV registration flow and confirm that the promotional entitlement was attached to the intended account.
App labels can vary by version. The important requirements were using T Life through T-Mobile Tuesdays and completing the MLB.com sign-up during the March 26–April 1 claim period. Current T-Mobile instructions also distinguish between returning MLB.com users and new registrants; they are useful procedural context but should not be treated as a verbatim record of every 2024 screen. “Season-long” described the viewing period, not an all-season claiming opportunity. Customers could not wait until later in 2024 and still claim the promotion.
What MLB.TV did not guarantee
Local live games could be blacked out
MLB.TV’s main value was out-of-market coverage. Local or “in-market” games can be unavailable live because regional broadcast rights restrict streaming in a team’s designated home television territory. MLB uses device-location and IP-related information to determine blackout eligibility, according to the current explanation on T-Mobile’s MLB page.

- A fan may be unable to watch a local team live through MLB.TV.
- Out-of-market regular-season games were the core live-streaming benefit.
- Nationally televised games and other events can have separate restrictions.
- Traveling into a team’s home territory can change what is blacked out.
Do not assume that a VPN or other location-masking service is an approved workaround; the cited materials do not support that approach, and it may conflict with service terms.
Postseason and other programming
T-Mobile’s announcement described regular-season MLB.TV coverage. It did not establish free access to postseason games, spring training, the All-Star Game or MLB Network, so those should not be promised.
Existing subscribers, payment screens and renewal
If you already had MLB.TV
The public 2024 announcement does not establish how the promotion interacted with every existing paid subscription. Before redeeming, check the promotional terms and the MLB.com account that holds any current entitlement. Avoid creating a duplicate account unless the flow requires it.
If MLB asks for payment
Do not complete a paid checkout unless the final price is clearly zero and you understand the terms. A payment request may indicate an existing subscription or that you have left the promotional path.

Do not confuse the promotion with paid auto-renewal
General MLB.TV paid subscriptions can renew annually at the then-current price; see MLB’s subscription page. That general rule does not prove that the T-Mobile promotional benefit itself auto-renewed. Check the billing and renewal status of any separately purchased plan.
If the offer was missing from the app
Practical possibilities included being outside the claim dates, using the wrong T-Mobile account, having an account that did not meet qualifying-service rules, or needing to update and relaunch the app. The 2024 announcement does not document every troubleshooting case, so these are possibilities rather than confirmed explanations for a particular account.

The T-Mobile offer cannot be newly redeemed after April 1, 2024. Avoid archived links, unofficial codes and resale offers that imply otherwise.
For current options, check MLB’s official subscription choices at MLB.TV’s subscription page. MLB has also run limited previews; for example, its 2024 second-half promotion offered four free days, required an MLB.com account and excluded certain nationally televised games. That was a separate MLB offer, not a replacement for T-Mobile’s season-long benefit: MLB’s preview announcement.

Is MLB.TV worth pursuing?
For an existing eligible customer who follows teams outside the local market, a free season-long subscription was substantial value. It was a poor solution for someone whose main goal was live access to a local team, because blackouts could block those games.
Do not switch wireless or internet providers solely for a seasonal perk. Compare the full annual cost of service and treat MLB.TV as one benefit among many. T-Mobile’s general plan information is at T-Mobile’s plan page.
