Murder Company — January 1
This World War II action drama follows U.S. soldiers escorting a French Resistance member behind enemy lines during the D-Day invasion. The schedule marked it for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers.

Star Trek: Section 31 — January 24
Michelle Yeoh returns as Philippa Georgiou, who joins a secret Starfleet division and confronts the consequences of her past. It was presented as a Paramount+ original film.
Watson — January 26
Morris Chestnut stars in the CBS drama, which reimagines Dr. John Watson as the central figure in a medical-crime setting.

CBS viewing: live feed versus on demand
The January schedule used “CBS” to cover a specific access pattern. Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers could watch CBS programming through the service’s live feed as it aired. The same CBS programs were scheduled to become available on demand to all Paramount+ subscribers the following day. That distinction applied to the Golden Globe Awards, Raid the Cage, The Price Is Right at Night, Hollywood Squares, Watson and NCIS: Sydney. It should not be read as a promise that every subscriber could watch those programs live.
Live sports scheduled for January
The U.S. sports calendar included NFL on CBS Wild Card and AFC Divisional Playoff games, the AFC Championship, UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches, Serie A, Coppa Italia, English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League games, the Supercoppa Italiana, NCAA men’s basketball, Professional Bull Riders, Formula E and PGA Tour coverage including the Farmers Insurance Open.

Sports rights were not uniform across plans; the schedule marked certain events for SHOWTIME subscribers. The AFC Divisional Playoff notation in the supplementary calendar was inconsistent, so the reliable description is January 18 or 19, 2025 rather than the erroneous “11/19” notation.
Which viewers got the most value?
- Star Trek viewers: Start with Star Trek: Section 31 on January 24.
- Families: Henry Danger: The Movie, the Blippi specials and The Tiny Chef Show season 2 were the clearest January choices.
- Classic-film fans: The January 1 library included Almost Famous, Chinatown, Labyrinth, The Truman Show and There Will Be Blood.
- Crime and procedural viewers: Choose Watson, NCIS: Sydney season 2 and the 1986 Matlock collection.
- Horror fans: The Paranormal Activity films, Poltergeist, Rosemary’s Baby and The Crow films formed the strongest genre cluster.
- Sports subscribers: January’s NFL playoffs, soccer competitions, basketball, PBR, Formula E and PGA Tour coverage were the main reason to follow the live schedule.
Plan and regional cautions
Titles marked SHOWTIME in the published calendar were not presented as base-tier benefits. International Paramount+ catalogs can differ substantially from the U.S. schedule, especially for CBS programming, sports and licensed films. Streaming rights and plan requirements may also have changed after January 2025. For current plans and availability, check Paramount+ directly.
In short, January 2025 was strongest for franchise premieres, CBS viewers, sports fans and anyone willing to explore a large film-library refresh—but the schedule should now be treated as an archive of planned arrivals, not a current availability list.
