Reception is not guaranteed. Distance from the transmitter, terrain, building materials, and antenna placement can all affect the signal. An antenna provides free broadcast television; it is not a free internet livestream.

Online streaming options that were available in 2024
CBS.com and the CBS app
The official 49ers guide listed CBS.com and the CBS mobile app as streaming routes. Online access could require authentication with a participating cable, satellite, or live-TV provider. Therefore, these were not automatically free streams for every viewer.
If you already had eligible TV-provider credentials, CBS streaming could be a no-new-cost option. Without those credentials, check the service’s current sign-in and local-station requirements rather than assuming that a CBS account alone provided access.
NFL+
NFL+ was a paid service, not a free solution. For the 2024 season, its relevant live local and primetime game access was described as being for phones and tablets. It should not have been treated as unrestricted live viewing on a smart TV, streaming stick, or other television device.
NFL+ Premium also included replay-related features and other NFL content, but it remained subscription-based. An NFL support page listed a price signal of $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year; prices and plan terms can change, so those figures should not be treated as a current checkout quote.

Paid live-TV streaming services
A live-TV bundle could have worked if it carried the viewer’s local CBS affiliate. The essential checks were:
- CBS was available in the viewer’s ZIP code.
- The selected plan included the local station.
- The service supported the intended device.
- Any trial or promotion was valid at that time and its cancellation terms were understood.
Examples included YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, and Sling TV. None should be presented as guaranteed free or guaranteed to carry CBS everywhere. Local-channel availability must be checked by ZIP code.

There was no universally free, official internet livestream of the full game established by the available official sources. Be wary of pages promising a “free NFL stream” through pop-ups, social-media links, mirror sites, or unauthorized restreams.
What if you were outside the local CBS market?
A CBS station in another city would not necessarily have shown Vikings–49ers. Out-of-market viewers needed a service with the applicable rights, such as an eligible live-TV bundle or another territory-specific product. NFL+ should not be confused with an all-out-of-market Sunday afternoon package.

Viewers without access to the television broadcast could use official audio options. The 49ers’ guide listed the team radio network, including KGO and KSAN, and stated that Spanish-language game audio was streamed at no cost through 49ers.com/esp. The NFL also provided live local and national audio through its official platforms. Audio availability can vary by market and platform.
Where to watch the game now
Because the game ended on September 15, 2024, no service should be described as carrying its current live broadcast. The NFL game center is the best official starting point for the final score, recap, statistics, drives, and any listed replay or video resources. The official NFL YouTube video provides highlights.
Those highlights and game-center videos should not automatically be described as a complete replay of the original television broadcast. Availability of full, condensed, or other replay formats depends on the NFL’s current offering and the viewer’s location or subscription.
