Ipley Cross is one of the most dangerous intersection or crossroads in Britain. Some might say even in the world. It is often referenced as the creepiest intersection in Britain.
What makes it so dangerous? You can sense something dangerous from the moment you see the crossroad.
There are long lines of sight that might suggest visibility. But the reality is different. Hillocks create blind spots approaching the intersection.
Even worse, the geometry of the roads draw automobiles and bikes into constant bearing and diminishing range, hidden from one another’s view by door pillars and helmets. And often, it is too late to react.
