The Tool Box Killers, Lawrence Sigmund Bittaker and Roy Lewis Norris, are recognized as two of the most heinous criminals in American history. In 1979, these two men embarked on a five-month long campaign of abduction, rape, torture and murder across Southern California. Their victims? Five teenage girls, aged 13 to 18.
This grisly story is now the subject of a documentary that explores the depravity that befell these young lives and probes into the minds of their maniacal killers. Through interviews with family members of the victims and convicts involved, this production uncovers never before heard audio recordings between authorities and Bittaker and Norris in an effort to understand what drove them to commit such heinous crimes.
