The best legal Bollywood streaming sites in India are Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, Amazon MX Player through Prime Video’s “Free to Me” area, and official YouTube movie channels. Netflix is strongest for polished subtitles and selected mainstream titles; Prime Video offers the broadest mix of subscriptions, rentals, and purchases; JioHotstar and ZEE5 are especially useful for Indian-language catalogs; and MX Player and YouTube provide free, ad-supported options.
Catalogs, plans, language tracks, and regional rights change frequently. The availability and plan details below reflect provider information checked on August 7, 2026, primarily for viewers in India.

Best for Netflix originals, recent Hindi films, mainstream Bollywood, and subtitles.

Netflix maintains a dedicated Bollywood Movies category. Its India catalog includes titles such as Dangal, Raazi, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Padmaavat, and Crew, although availability changes by country and over time.

How to find Hindi films
- Open Netflix and select Search.
- Search for
Bollywood,Hindi movies, a specific title, orHindi Dubbed Movies & TV. - Alternatively, open the Bollywood Movies category in a browser.
Search results can be affected by the active profile’s maturity-rating and language settings. If a film is missing, check the profile settings before assuming Netflix does not carry it. Netflix explains these search limitations in its help documentation.
Audio and subtitles
Start the movie, open the playback controls, choose Audio & Subtitles, and select from the tracks available for that title. Netflix does not guarantee Hindi audio or English subtitles for every film. Downloaded titles may show only the two most relevant language options. See Netflix’s audio and subtitle guidance.
Netflix’s “Bollywood” and “Hindi dubbed” results can overlap with non-Bollywood films dubbed into Hindi. The catalog is also country-specific, so a film available on Netflix India may not be available on Netflix in the United States.

Best for a broad Hindi catalog when you want subscription streaming, rentals, or purchases in one place.
Prime Video combines titles included with a membership with rentals, purchases, add-on channels, and free ad-supported programming. A search result is not automatically included with Prime. Amazon distinguishes between subscription, rental, purchase, pay-per-view, and free ad-supported content in its Prime Video terms and help information.
How to search
- Open Prime Video and select Find.
- Search for a film title, actor, director, or
Hindi movies. - Use available language, genre, or quality filters.
- Open the title page and confirm the offer before pressing play.
Depending on the device and app version, Prime Video navigation may also show areas such as Home, Movies, TV Shows, Live TV, Prime, Store, and My Stuff. Amazon’s interface guide describes the evolving layout.

How to identify extra charges
Included titles normally carry a Prime-access indicator, such as a blue checkmark on supported interfaces. Paid titles show a visible Rent or Buy option and may use a yellow shopping-bag icon. Always check the title page for the exact price and access type.
Amazon says rentals normally remain in the video library for 30 days. Once playback begins, viewers generally have 48 hours to finish, although individual titles can have different viewing periods.
India pricing and advertising
Amazon’s India guide lists Prime membership at ₹299 per month, ₹599 for three months, or ₹1,499 per year. The same guide lists a Prime Video ad-free option at ₹129 per month or ₹699 per year. Prime Video movies and television shows otherwise include limited advertisements in India, and free ad-supported content remains ad-supported. Check the current India guide before subscribing.
A film can move from subscription access to rental-only access when licensing changes. Audio, subtitles, and dubbed tracks also vary by title and country. Using a VPN to switch catalogs may conflict with Amazon’s service terms.
3. JioHotstar
Best for Star/Jio Hindi entertainment, family films, and a large selection of Indian-language content in India.

According to JioStar’s January 28, 2026 announcement, the Mobile tier includes all content except Hollywood, with Hollywood available through an add-on. Hollywood is included in Super and Premium. Existing subscribers may remain on older pricing while auto-renewal continues; these prices apply to new subscribers.
Finding Bollywood films
Use the platform’s search control and look for the film title, an actor, Hindi movies, or Bollywood. Open the title page and check the plan requirement before selecting Watch. A film can appear in search while remaining locked to a higher tier or add-on.
JioHotstar is primarily an India service. A subscription bundled with a Jio mobile or broadband plan may provide a particular tier rather than the complete Premium catalog, and an India subscription should not be assumed to work abroad.

4. ZEE5
Best for Hindi back-catalog films, ZEE titles, regional-language cinema, and Indian originals.
ZEE5 has dedicated Bollywood Movies and Hindi Movies pages. Its Bollywood collection includes films such as Gadar 2, Sam Bahadur, Haddi, Kadak Singh, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Raksha Bandhan, subject to licensing and region.
How to browse
- Open Movies.
- Select the Bollywood collection or Hindi-language movie collection.
- Open a title and select Watch.
The Hindi section includes labels such as Latest Hindi Movies, Popular Hindi Movies, and Watch New Hindi Movies Online. Some titles may be visible but require Premium access.

ZEE5’s help center lists direct-purchase India plans at ₹299 for one month, ₹599 for three months, and ₹1,499 for 12 months. The listed plans support all languages and KidZ content. 5. SonyLIV
Best for Sony Pictures Networks films, Hindi originals, selected Bollywood titles, and Hindi-dubbed regional films.
SonyLIV’s Movies section and Hindi content page include collections such as Popular Bollywood Movies, South Dubbed Masala, Hollywood Movies Dubbed In Hindi, Documentaries In Hindi, and Hidden Gems.
How to browse
- Open SonyLIV and select Movies.
- Browse the Hindi collections or search for a specific film.
- Open the movie page and select Watch Now when available.
“Hindi” does not always mean Bollywood production here: the results can include South Indian films dubbed into Hindi and Hollywood films with Hindi audio.
Availability and subscription eligibility vary by country. SonyLIV’s older FAQ identifies India and selected Middle Eastern markets as supported premium regions, but its prices and feature descriptions are outdated and should not be treated as current pricing. A film may also be visible while requiring Premium access. Older references to short-term rentals do not establish that the same rental system or pricing still operates today.

6. Amazon MX Player, now being folded into Prime Video
Best for free, ad-supported Indian entertainment when you do not want a paid subscription.
Amazon MX Player remains a free, ad-supported service in India, but its access model changed during 2026. Amazon is unifying MX Player content with Prime Video. For non-Prime viewers, the main current route is Prime Video’s Free to Me area. The Android app has been refreshed as MX Player by Prime Video, while the web, iOS, and living-room experiences are being redirected to Prime Video applications as the rollout continues.
Current access path
- Open Prime Video in India.
- Select the Free to Me tab.
- Browse or search the free catalog.
- Open a title and choose the free watch option.
The tab’s position can differ by device during the phased migration. Amazon says the Free to Me experience does not require Prime membership and does not require an account. See its MX Player integration announcement.
Free access does not make every Prime Video title free. Some films are available only through Prime membership, rental, purchase, or an add-on. The catalog is India-focused and remains ad-supported. Older articles describing MX Player as a uniformly separate website and app across every platform no longer accurately describe the 2026 rollout.
7. Official YouTube movie channels
Best for free classic Bollywood films and occasional full-length releases.
YouTube is a legal option when the full film has been uploaded by the rights holder, an authorized distributor, or an official studio channel. A video is not automatically licensed simply because it has millions of views.
Official channels to check
- Shemaroo Movies is Shemaroo Entertainment’s official movie channel and presents full-length Hindi films.
- Rajshri publishes full-length Hindi films alongside classics, scenes, songs, and related entertainment.
- T-Series has uploaded selected full Hindi films, including Bhoothnath Returns.
How to verify an upload
- Open the channel page rather than relying only on general search.
- Look for a verification badge where applicable.
- Check whether the description identifies the studio, distributor, or rights holder.
- Prefer videos linked from the studio or distributor’s official website or social accounts.
- Avoid videos that redirect to download pages, demand unknown software, or use copied thumbnails and misleading titles.
Availability can change by country when licenses expire. Films may also be edited, censored, low-resolution, or interrupted by advertisements. Channel verification supports the channel’s identity, but it does not make every unrelated re-upload on YouTube authorized.

Before you press play: a legal and availability checklist
- Confirm the country. Streaming rights are territorial, so India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other markets can show different films.
- Check the access label. On Prime Video especially, distinguish Prime, Rent, Buy, add-on, and Free to Me.
- Check the plan tier. A title can appear in search while being locked to a higher JioHotstar or ZEE5 plan.
- Check audio and subtitles. Hindi audio and English subtitles are title-specific, not guaranteed across a service.
- Check the active profile. Netflix maturity-rating and language settings can affect discoverability.
- Be cautious with bundles. Telecom and broadband bundles may include only a particular service tier.
- Do not assume a Hindi result is Bollywood. Search pages often include Hindi-dubbed South Indian or Hollywood films.
- Use official YouTube channels. Avoid suspicious uploads, external download links, and unofficial mirrors.
