The Blue Dynasty – Made in Dubai is a planned five-episode docuseries about Victory Team, Dubai’s marine-sports culture and the people who built the team’s legacy. It is still in development, not an already-streaming programme. The latest announcement gives a projected 2027–2028 release window, but names no distributor or streaming platform. Unlike a documentary built around one recent season, the project is designed as an origin-and-legacy story rooted in Dubai’s 1980s and 1990s.
What The Blue Dynasty is, and what has actually been announced
The title refers to The Blue Dynasty – Made in Dubai, a proposed five-episode series from Watch My i and Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC). A producer teaser identifies three connected subjects: Victory Team’s legacy, Dubai’s culture and marine-sports scene in the 1980s and 1990s, and the future of marine sports.
Powerboat News reported the project’s public announcement on 13 October 2026 in a report dated 15 October 2026. That report describes a 2027–2028 release window and says the series will examine Victory Team’s beginnings, successful years, setbacks, rivalries and results. The window is a projection, not a fixed premiere date; no episode schedule has been published.
| Item | Current position | What that means for viewers |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Five-episode docuseries | The announced project has a defined episode count, but running times and episode titles are not stated. |
| Production status | In development | It should not be treated as a completed series available to stream or buy. |
| Projected release | 2027–2028 | The announcement provides a broad window rather than a day or month. |
| Distributor or platform | Not identified | There is no confirmed service, broadcaster or physical retailer to check out. |
| Physical edition and merchandise | Not identified | No DVD, Blu-ray, book, soundtrack, model, collectible or licensed merchandise has been announced. |
No verified audience estimate, rating, budget or championship total has been published with the announcement. Those figures should not be inferred from the word “dynasty” in the title.

What story the five episodes are expected to tell
Victory Team’s origin and institutional legacy
The central subject is Victory Team, presented not simply as a racing entry but as an institution connected to Dubai. The announced coverage runs from its beginnings through successful periods, setbacks, rivalries and results. That gives the series a longer arc than a race recap: viewers can expect the question of how a team was formed, how it developed, what challenged it and how its record was built over time.
DIMC chief executive officer Mohammed Abdulla Harib Al Falahi described the story as belonging to the Emirati racers, engineers and staff whose combined efforts produced Victory Team’s achievements and record. That emphasis puts people and organisation alongside results. The series therefore has room to examine preparation, technical work, staffing and decision-making rather than presenting victories as the work of a single star.
Dubai in the 1980s and 1990s
The project’s distinctive promise is its place-based history. Sened Gomera, Watch My i’s head of growth, said the series will capture the culture and energy of Dubai in the 1980s and 1990s, a period of the city’s identity that he believes deserves wider sharing. In practical terms, the racing story is intended to sit inside a social and civic story: the communities, facilities, ambitions and marine traditions that surrounded the sport.

This separates The Blue Dynasty from many sports documentaries that use a city only as a backdrop. Here, Dubai is one of the subjects. A useful episode would need to show how local people, workers and institutions made marine competition possible, while also explaining why Victory Team mattered to the city’s public image.

The future of marine sports
The producer teaser adds a forward-looking pillar. That creates a bridge between historical footage and the sport’s next phase, rather than ending with a retrospective roll of achievements. The announcement does not specify which technologies, competitions or policies will be covered, so viewers should regard this as an editorial direction, not a published list of future topics.
Results, rivalries and setbacks
Powerboat News says the series will include rivalries and setbacks as well as successful years and results. That balance matters in a dynasty narrative. A sequence of wins alone explains reputation but not resilience; setbacks reveal how a team responded, changed personnel or strategy, and continued operating. No independently published count of titles or races has been supplied, so the eventual episodes will need to establish the scale of Victory Team’s record on screen.
How it compares with other sports dynasty documentary formats
The fairest comparison is structural rather than numerical. The Blue Dynasty is not yet a finished programme that can be judged against completed series for editing, access or audience response. It can, however, be placed beside the main documentary formats that viewers call “dynasty” stories.
| Comparison point | The Blue Dynasty – Made in Dubai | Single-season team documentary | Franchise retrospective | League or multi-team ecosystem series |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subject scope | One team, Victory Team, and the Dubai institutions and community around it. | Usually one squad and its current campaign. | A club or franchise examined across multiple eras. | Several teams, athletes or organisations within one competition. |
| Time span | Origins, successful years, setbacks, rivalries and results, with special attention to Dubai in the 1980s and 1990s. | One season, tour or competitive cycle. | Long retrospective history, often organised by eras. | Current or recent seasons viewed across the wider sport. |
| Access that would matter | Historical archives, racers, engineers, staff, leaders and race context would connect the institutional and cultural strands. | Training areas, competition weekends and current participants are usually the core access. | Former players or racers, executives, archive owners and surviving witnesses carry the history. | Access is distributed across teams, venues, officials and athletes. |
| Competitive stakes | Results, rivalries and the consequences of setbacks are announced subjects; no title tally or budget is stated. | Selection, form, injuries, tactics and the outcome of one campaign tend to drive tension. | Championship eras, decline, rebuilding and institutional choices create the arc. | Standings, regulation changes, rivalries and the health of the whole competition matter. |
| Place and culture | Central: Dubai’s marine-sports culture and 1980s–1990s identity are part of the premise. | Often supportive context rather than the main subject. | Important when a club is closely tied to a city or region, but emphasis varies. | Usually broader and less concentrated on one city. |
| Distribution certainty | Projected for 2027–2028; platform and distributor not identified. | Depends on the completed title and its commissioning outlet. | Depends on the finished production and rights holder. | Depends on the finished production and the league or platform agreement. |
Where The Blue Dynasty is most distinctive
Its strongest difference is the combination of a single-team institutional history with a specific urban history. A conventional season series asks what happened during a campaign. A franchise retrospective asks how an organisation changed over decades. The Blue Dynasty proposes both questions and adds how Dubai’s marine culture shaped the organisation.

The five-episode length also suggests room to move between personal testimony, archive and context instead of compressing the entire story into a single feature. That is a potential strength, not a guarantee: the final result will depend on the depth of the archive and the participation of people who experienced the events.
What cannot yet be compared fairly
Because the project is unreleased, there is no verified information about its cinematography, narration, music, episode durations, critical reception or audience performance. It is also not possible to compare its confirmed access with completed productions. Any claim that it is already the biggest, most successful or most accessible marine-sports documentary would go beyond the announced facts.
Why the “dynasty” label needs careful interpretation
In sports storytelling, “dynasty” usually implies sustained achievement, organisational continuity and influence beyond a single result. The title signals that Victory Team’s record will be treated as a long-form legacy. The announcement supports that reading by promising beginnings, successful years, setbacks, rivalries and results.

The label can also include people who are easy to overlook in highlight reels. The DIMC statement specifically names Emirati racers, engineers and staff. That makes the human question—who designed, prepared, maintained and supported the boats—central to judging whether the series delivers more than a collection of race wins.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is The Blue Dynasty streaming anywhere now?
No confirmed streaming location has been identified. The available announcements describe a project in development and provide a projected 2027–2028 release window, but they do not name a broadcaster, streaming service, distributor or physical-edition partner.
Sports-documentary category pages on major services demonstrate that the genre exists in streaming catalogues; they do not constitute a distribution agreement for this title. Do not rely on an unrelated listing, an unofficial trailer or a similarly named video as evidence that the five-episode series has premiered.
The reliable signs of availability will be a formal announcement from Watch My i or DIMC, a named distributor or platform, and a published episode schedule. Until one of those appears, there is no legitimate episode link to provide.

Will there be a DVD, book or merchandise?
Nothing title-specific has been announced. The identified sources name no DVD or Blu-ray, book, soundtrack, model, collectible or licensed merchandise. There is therefore no substantiated product to recommend or price.
The 2026 announcement does mention a related reality-series plan following marine-sports athletes and teams through racing seasons. That separate project is described as seeking sponsorship and brand-partnership revenue. It should not be confused with a retail release of The Blue Dynasty, and any future commercial partnership would need confirmation from the producers, DIMC, a distributor or an announced retailer.
How the related reality series differs from the documentary
The announced reality concept would follow athletes and teams through racing seasons, making it contemporaneous and competition-led. The Blue Dynasty is the five-episode origin-and-legacy project: it looks backward at Victory Team and Dubai’s history while also considering the future of marine sports.

The two ideas could share participants or race footage, but no production schedule, cast, platform or formal title for the reality series has been published. Treating it as an additional season of The Blue Dynasty would conflate two separate plans.
What to look for when the series is released
- Evidence of the timeline: Does the series clearly date Victory Team’s beginnings and connect its eras rather than jumping between undated memories?
- Range of voices: Are Emirati racers, engineers and staff heard alongside executives and prominent competitors?
- Context for Dubai: Does the 1980s–1990s material explain the city’s marine community, or use period imagery only as decoration?
- Honest treatment of setbacks: Are rivalries, losses and difficult decisions examined with the same care as victories?
- Specific results: Does the programme document records and competitions on screen instead of relying on the title’s implication of dominance?
- Future-facing conclusion: Does the discussion of marine sports’ future follow from the history presented, and identify whose future is being considered?
Those tests follow the project’s announced ambitions without assuming that any particular archive, interview or technical explanation has already been secured.
