Reacher Season 3 is now streaming on Prime Video. The official trailer sets up Jack Reacher’s most physically imposing opponent yet: Paulie, a seven-foot bodyguard played by Olivier Richters. But Paulie is only one part of the threat. Reacher must also infiltrate a criminal operation, rescue an undercover DEA informant and confront Quinn, an enemy from his past.

This is different from the 34-second teaser shown at CCXP in São Paulo on December 7, 2024. The full trailer gives a clearer look at the season’s undercover operation, returning characters and unusually large antagonist.
What is Reacher Season 3 about?
Season 3 adapts Lee Child’s seventh Jack Reacher novel, Persuader, originally published in 2003. In the television adaptation, Reacher goes undercover to rescue an undercover DEA informant held by a criminal enterprise linked to a foe from his past.

The operation centers on Zachary Beck, played by Anthony Michael Hall. Beck runs the rug-import company Bizarre Bazaar, which serves as the front for the criminal operation Reacher investigates. Reacher works with DEA agent Susan Duffy, played by Sonya Cassidy, as the investigation moves deeper into Beck’s organization.
The season also brings Reacher face to face with Quinn, played by Brian Tee. Quinn is connected to Reacher’s past and represents the personal unfinished business beneath the undercover mission.

Paulie is bigger than Reacher—but he is not the main villain
The trailer’s “bigger than Reacher” hook is literal. Paulie, Beck’s bodyguard, is played by Dutch actor and professional bodybuilder Olivier Richters, known as “The Dutch Giant.” Men’s Health lists Richters at 7 feet 2 inches and 352 pounds, while Amazon lists Alan Ritchson at 6 feet 3 inches and 240 pounds.
That size difference makes Paulie Reacher’s most conspicuous physical opponent of the season. The trailer shows the two men confronting each other, and the season includes more than one clash between them, including an arm-wrestling confrontation and a later extended one-on-one fight.

However, Paulie is not the criminal mastermind. He is Beck’s bodyguard and enforcer. Beck runs the operation, while Quinn is tied to the personal conflict that reaches back into Reacher’s history. The most accurate description is that Paulie is Reacher’s biggest physical adversary, not the sole or principal villain.

Neagley’s return is notable for readers familiar with the novel. She is not a principal character in Persuader, but the television series brings Maria Sten back as part of its continuing adaptation of Reacher’s wider supporting cast.

The trailer’s central promise
The trailer combines the familiar Reacher formula—an outsider entering a dangerous criminal world—with a more personal story involving Quinn. The undercover setup gives Reacher a reason to operate inside Beck’s organization, while Paulie provides a direct physical challenge unlike the opponents he usually overwhelms through size and strength.
That distinction matters. The season is not simply about Reacher fighting the biggest man in the room. It is about balancing an undercover rescue mission, a criminal investigation and a confrontation with someone connected to his past.
