For looping prerecorded videos on YouTube, StreamNeo is the cloud-based option to consider first: upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live without keeping a computer running. OBS Studio is the strongest do-it-yourself alternative established here: it can loop local media or a VLC playlist, but you operate the computer, connection, and stream. Muvi Live is a broader hosted platform, so it is not a like-for-like replacement for a simple loop player.

Which Muvi Live alternative fits a YouTube loop?

Start with the operating model you want, not just the word “streaming.” OBS produces the stream on your computer. A managed service runs streaming operations in the cloud. Muvi describes a wider hosted platform with a video library, HLS delivery, recurring events, recording, and monetization features.

Option Where the stream runs Looping and programming What to weigh
StreamNeo Cloud, streaming to YouTube Uploaded videos and playlists; 24/7 looping One always-on stream per slot, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot.
OBS Studio Your computer Loop a local media file or a VLC playlist You control the production, but are responsible for the computer, network connection, and monitoring.
Muvi Live Hosted platform, according to Muvi Muvi describes a video library and HLS playlist delivery; confirm the precise workflow for a continuous YouTube loop with Muvi. Consider it when you need broader hosted capabilities, such as recurring events, recording, or monetization, and check current plan limits and terms with the vendor.

Muvi’s pages describe its own product capabilities, not independent performance measurements. The available information does not establish current prices, service guarantees, or feature parity across managed alternatives. Compare those details directly before choosing.

Use OBS to loop a prerecorded video on YouTube

OBS is a local encoder and production tool, not a managed always-on hosting service. Its documented media sources play local files; this workflow does not retransmit arbitrary videos from YouTube. Use only video you have the necessary rights to broadcast.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  1. Install OBS Studio and prepare your media. Keep the video file accessible on the computer that will run the stream. If you plan to use a VLC playlist source, install VLC as well. OBS notes that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC for the VLC source.
  2. Create a scene and add the video source. In OBS, select or create a scene, then use the Sources panel’s + button. Choose Media Source for one local file, or VLC Video Source for a playlist. Select the file or add playlist entries, then confirm the source appears in the preview.
  3. Set the loop behavior. For a Media Source, enable Loop in its properties. For a VLC Video Source, enable Loop Playlist to restart playback when the playlist ends. Shuffle Playlist randomizes playback order if you want that behavior.
  4. Connect OBS to YouTube Live. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and copy its stream key. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, select YouTube as the service, and connect the account or use the stream key option shown in your version. Treat the stream key like a password; do not publish or share it.
  5. Set output and video settings for your connection. OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard can help choose settings based on intended use, hardware, and network conditions. Review the resulting output and video settings, and use a stable upload connection appropriate to the resolution and frame rate you select. There is no single bitrate that is safe for every connection and format; check the current YouTube Live encoder guidance for the stream you are configuring.
  6. Start and monitor the broadcast. In OBS, select Start Streaming. Confirm in YouTube Studio that the incoming stream is healthy and that the video is playing as expected. Keep OBS open and monitor both the stream and the source during a long broadcast.

OBS documents file looping and playlist controls, but its documentation does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 operation or cloud failover. Test your own encoder, computer, and network before relying on a long-running broadcast.

What to compare before choosing a hosted alternative

Muvi’s feature pages describe a hosted service with a CMS and video library, HLS links and playlist delivery, recurring live events, recording, live chat, encoder support, apps, monetization options, and security functions. Its event-streaming description includes YouTube among social destinations, recurring event streams that reuse a stream key and URL, mobile streaming, third-party HLS/RTSP inputs, recording, and paywall or ad options. These are vendor descriptions; verify the exact features, availability, and plan limits that matter to your use case.

  • Continuous output or scheduled events? A single loop has different needs from a calendar of recurring events.
  • Local control or hosted operation? Decide whether you want to run and monitor an encoder yourself or have playback operate in the cloud.
  • YouTube only or broader delivery? Check supported destinations and whether the service’s workflow covers your intended YouTube setup.
  • One file or a library and playlist? Confirm how uploaded assets are stored and selected, and whether the service supports the sequence and schedule you need.
  • Do you need recording, access control, or monetization? These are broader platform requirements; an encoder alone is not a substitute for a managed CMS, paywall, or recording workflow.
  • What continuity commitments are explicit? Compare each provider’s published uptime, restart, support, and recovery terms. Do not treat a feature list as a service guarantee.
