Meta announced the European launch of its AI-video feed, Vibes, on November 6, 2025. It is a creation and discovery feature inside the Meta AI app, where users can generate, remix and share short videos—not a separate social network or a full professional video editor. The app has since evolved, and access to Vibes or particular tools may differ by country, language, age, account and app version.
What is Vibes?
Vibes is a feed in the Meta AI app built around AI-generated and AI-transformed short videos. Meta’s launch announcement described a personalized stream where people can browse clips, make videos from prompts, remix existing videos, add or change visual elements, choose music and alter styles. Users can share creations in Vibes, send them to friends, or share them to Instagram and Facebook Stories or Reels.
That makes Vibes different from a general short-video platform: its focus is making and discovering AI-assisted clips, rather than a broad mix of conventionally filmed creator content. It is also distinct from Meta AI’s conversational assistant, though both sit within the same product ecosystem.

Meta first introduced the standalone Meta AI app on April 29, 2025, with a Discover feed for exploring and sharing AI interactions. An early Vibes preview followed on September 25, 2025, before Meta announced its European launch on November 6. Meta’s separate March 2025 rollout of Meta AI across Europe concerned the assistant generally, not proof that every later Vibes feature was available in every market at the same time. How to find Vibes in the Meta AI app
Meta announced Vibes for European users, but current country-by-country access is not established. Meta’s current app-store listings warn that features may vary by country and language and can roll out gradually. Treat the November 2025 announcement as a launch record, not a guarantee that the same controls appear on every account today.
- Install or update the official Meta AI app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in with a Meta account if the app asks you to.
- Look for Vibes or the app’s video or discovery area. Interface names and placement may have changed since launch.
- If it is missing, check that the app is current, then consider your country, language, age eligibility, device software and whether access has reached your account.
- If Meta exposes the same experience on the web for your account, try Meta.ai. Do not treat a VPN, account-region change or unofficial app download as a normal fix for unavailable access.
The Apple listing is for the U.S. storefront and shows a 13+ rating there; that is not an EU age-rating determination. Both store listings describe the app as free to download while also indicating in-app purchases. They do not establish a Vibes-specific price or a current list of eligible EU countries.

What can users make?
Meta’s announcement supports prompt-generated clips, remixes of videos in the feed, visual changes, music and style changes. It also described sharing to Vibes and Meta’s other social destinations. The feed is therefore designed around more than videos made entirely from scratch: a clip can be generated, transformed or remixed, and user-supplied material may be involved.
In a hands-on report, TechRadar described workflows involving an uploaded photo being animated and an uploaded video being remixed with effects. That is useful practical context, not a guarantee that these upload workflows or controls remain available to every EU user. TechRadar’s hands-on report covers those examples.

Where it may be useful
- Quick visual experiments, memes and surreal or mood-based clips.
- Trying variations on an existing AI clip by remixing it.
- Visual brainstorming before making a more carefully edited piece.
- Sharing casual creations through Meta’s social services.
For prompts, general strategies include describing the subject and action clearly, then specifying a visual style or camera movement if the app offers those controls. These are prompting suggestions, not Meta-documented guarantees about output. Remixing can be a simpler starting point than trying to produce a precise scene from a blank prompt.
What are Vibes’ limitations?
Meta’s European launch announcement describes broad creative functions, but it is not a complete technical specification. It does not establish current video duration, resolution, frame rate, generation quotas, export settings, watermark behavior, audio rights or the model powering every current Vibes workflow. The current app listings’ reference to the newer Muse Spark model family indicates that Meta AI has evolved, but does not prove Vibes was removed or specify which model generates its videos.

As with generative video generally, motion, anatomy, text, object identity and continuity can be inconsistent. A result that works as an amusing short clip may not be suitable as factual footage, a finished advertisement or a dependable commercial asset. Review outputs before sharing, especially where they could be mistaken for documentation of a real event.
A personalized feed can also become repetitive or favor novelty over usefulness. Meta said Vibes would become more tailored to people’s interests over time; recommendations may respond to user interactions. Separately, Meta announced that interactions with its generative AI features would be used to personalize content and ad recommendations on its platforms, with the change scheduled to take effect in December 2025. That broader policy announcement is relevant context, but it does not establish that every Vibes interaction is handled identically. Meta’s recommendation announcement explains the broader change.

Privacy, consent and AI labels
Using a prompt or uploading media means sharing information with Meta’s service; “AI-generated” does not mean private. Meta has said it does not use private messages with friends and family to train its AI systems, and that it does not use content from accounts of Europeans under 18 for training. In April 2025, Meta said it would use public content shared by adults in the EU and interactions with Meta AI to train and improve its models, while offering an objection process. Check Meta’s current controls and notices before using creation features. Its European privacy explanation and EU AI-training announcement explain those policies; Google Play also provides a data-safety disclosure.
- Get permission before uploading or transforming another person’s face or private footage, especially involving minors or private individuals.
- Consider the audience before cross-posting: sharing into Stories or Reels can expose a clip beyond its Vibes context.
- Check labels, captions, audio, privacy and cropping separately on each destination. A cross-posting option does not guarantee identical presentation everywhere.
Disclosure can take several forms: a visible platform label, embedded or invisible provenance information, a creator’s own disclosure, or a platform’s detection of signals in content made elsewhere. Meta has described labeling photorealistic AI images created with its tools and developing ways to detect industry signals such as C2PA and IPTC metadata. It has also discussed labels for AI-generated or altered video and audio. That policy does not establish that every Vibes clip will display the same label in Vibes, Instagram, Facebook or a downloaded copy. Meta’s labeling and provenance explanation describes its approach.
Is Vibes worth trying?
- Yes if you want casual experimentation, visual jokes or quick social clips without learning a specialist editor.
- Maybe if you are a creator exploring concepts and can tolerate variable results and changing feature access.
- No as your only professional tool when a project depends on precise control, repeatable output, clear rights, polished editing or factual reliability.
The app listings show a free-download signal, but no Vibes-specific subscription price or generation cost is established here. Dedicated AI-video tools may be more production-oriented, while traditional creative suites suit detailed editing and brand workflows; their current pricing and terms need separate checking. Vibes’ particular appeal is its combination of casual creation, remixing and a social feed, not documented professional controls.
What remains unclear in 2026
The available product information does not establish a reliable current list of EU countries with Vibes access, generation quotas, output duration or resolution, watermark behavior, audio licensing, or whether every function announced in 2025 remains active in the current app. If Vibes is absent or video generation fails, an outdated app, regional or account eligibility, staged rollout, temporary limits or a changed interface are possible explanations; the evidence does not identify a single definitive cause. Check the official app listing and current Meta notices rather than assuming the feature has permanently disappeared.
