King Charles III’s 2025 Christmas Broadcast aired on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. GMT. The prerecorded message is now available to watch online through the BBC’s official YouTube channel, with an official ITV News upload available as an alternative.
The speech lasted approximately 10 minutes and was broadcast in the UK by the BBC, ITV, Sky News and other broadcasters. Since the scheduled television broadcast has already taken place, viewers should use an official replay rather than search for a current live stream.

Availability on online platforms can change by country or over time. Official BBC and ITV uploads are preferable to unofficial fan channels, clipped social-media videos and reuploads.
How to watch in the UK
The traditional Christmas Day broadcast aired at 3:00 p.m. GMT on BBC television, ITV and Sky News, among other UK outlets. Contemporary listings also included BBC One, ITV1, Sky channels and BBC Radio 4, although schedules can vary by region and platform.
UK viewers can also check BBC iPlayer for a replay if the programme remains in its catalogue. BBC iPlayer is a UK-only service, requires a valid UK TV licence for viewing, and programme availability can change. A BBC.com subscription does not provide access to BBC iPlayer outside the UK. The official YouTube upload is likely to be the simpler replay option for many viewers.
How to watch in the United States and internationally
For viewers in the United States and elsewhere, start with the BBC’s official YouTube video and use the ITV News upload as a backup. These are the clearest legitimate online replay options identified for the full broadcast.
BBC iPlayer is not an international streaming service. The BBC may provide BBC News live coverage through BBC.com and its app in some countries, but that does not establish that the 2025 Christmas Broadcast was carried there live or that the broadcast replay is available through that stream. The BBC and ITV YouTube pages may also apply territory-specific rights restrictions.

Rank #4
Was King Charles’s Christmas speech live?
No. The message was prerecorded several days before Christmas and transmitted on Christmas Day. This means that “live stream” searches now refer either to the original television transmission or, more usefully, to an on-demand replay.
Where was the 2025 Christmas message filmed?
King Charles recorded the message in the Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey, rather than at a royal residence. According to Westminster Abbey’s announcement, this was only the second time during his reign that the Christmas message had been recorded outside a royal residence; the previous occasion was the 2024 message at Fitzrovia Chapel.
The Westminster Abbey setting also supported the broadcast’s references to pilgrimage and the building’s long history as a place associated with faith and shared public life.
Best Value
What was the speech about?
The message focused on themes including kindness, unity and shared humanity during a period marked by conflict and division. Those themes should be understood as a summary of the broadcast’s emphasis, rather than as a substitute for the King’s full remarks. Associated Press coverage also described the speech in those terms.
Where to find the transcript
The Royal Family maintains an official Christmas Broadcast archive containing historic royal messages and transcripts. Use that archive to locate the 2025 text if it is listed directly there. The archive is the most reliable place to check the written version rather than relying on transcriptions copied by third-party websites.
Subtitles, captions and British Sign Language
The BBC’s official video identifies a British Sign Language version in its description. On YouTube, use the CC or captions control when it is available, and check the video description or version selector for accessibility details. Caption formats and availability can change depending on the platform, territory and upload.
What not to confuse with the Christmas Broadcast
The King’s Christmas Broadcast is separate from other royal or seasonal programmes, including the Royal Family’s Christmas Day church service, ITV’s Together at Christmas concert, Carols from King’s, the King’s New Year or Commonwealth Day messages, and Channel 4’s alternative Christmas message.
