Despicable Me 4 has two different soundtrack layers: the 44-track original score album by Heitor Pereira, and the licensed or newly commissioned songs heard during specific scenes. Pharrell Williams’s “Double Life” opens the film during the credits, while songs such as Cameo’s “Word Up!” and BTS’s “Dynamite” drive several of its comic set pieces.
The scene descriptions below are reported associations rather than frame-accurate timestamps. Exact placement can vary slightly between versions and edits.

The official 44-track score album
The official Despicable Me 4 album is not a complete playlist of every pop song heard in the movie. Released by Back Lot Music on June 28, 2024, it runs for about 1 hour and 13 minutes and is primarily Heitor Pereira’s original score, ending with the cast recording of “Everybody Wants To Rule the World.”

Score versus songs: what is the difference?
Pereira’s score supplies the film’s continuous instrumental storytelling, with track titles tied to events such as the Megaminions’ arrival, the battle at the Gru house, and Gru’s apology. The licensed songs are separate musical set pieces: they are easier to recognize from a performer or lyric hook and are generally used for entrances, transitions, comic action, or montage-like scenes.
That distinction explains why searching for every song on the official album can be confusing. The album contains the original score and its cast finale; many of the recognizable songs heard in the film remain part of the individual artists’ catalogs rather than appearing on Pereira’s 44-track release.

How to check a song’s exact placement
The film’s listed runtime is approximately 1 hour 34 minutes. For a precise recheck, use a home-video edition and replay the relevant scene. Despicable Me 4 was released in the United States on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 24, 2024. A disc can help you revisit the scene, but it does not replace the separate official score album.
The film’s score is by Heitor Pereira, while Pharrell Williams provides original songs and themes. Because no single public cue sheet consistently supplies frame-accurate timings for every licensed track, scene descriptions should be treated as approximate rather than as exact timestamps.
