Yes—AEW is available on HBO Max in the United States. The service launched the AEW arrangement as Max on January 1, 2025, with live simulcasts of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision, on-demand replays, and a rolling archive of more than 700 hours of AEW programming. New live pay-per-views are available through HBO Max too, but they are not included in the regular subscription price.
One important update: Max was renamed HBO Max later in 2025. Warner Bros. Discovery said the rebrand did not require a new account or fundamentally different app experience. The information below reflects the U.S. service as of August 10, 2026.

The original Warner Bros. Discovery announcement described Max as an additional U.S. streaming outlet—not the exclusive home of AEW’s weekly television shows. TBS and TNT remain the broadcast homes identified for Dynamite and Collision.
What launched on January 1, 2025?
AEW’s Max era began in the United States on January 1, 2025, with Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen streaming live. The first regular Collision stream under the arrangement was scheduled for January 4, 2025.

At launch, viewers received two different things:
Live programming
- Dynamite: live Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and Max.
- Collision: live Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and Max.
- On-demand access: the broadcasts were to become available for replay after airing.
These were simulcasts of the television broadcasts. Max did not replace TBS or TNT, and the weekly shows were not Max-exclusive productions. The launch schedule and rights arrangement are detailed in WBD’s original AEW announcement.
Library programming
The launch announcement promised a rolling addition of more than 700 hours of AEW material. The planned library included past episodes of:
- AEW Dynamite
- AEW Collision
- AEW Rampage
- AEW pay-per-view events through the end of 2024
However, the entire library was not uploaded at once. The specifically confirmed starting material included all Dynamite episodes from AEW’s inaugural 2019 year, all AEW PPVs from 2019, and more than two months of recent AEW programming from Warner Bros. Discovery networks. Additional episodes were scheduled to arrive shortly afterward.
What can you watch now?
As of August 10, 2026, HBO Max’s AEW availability information describes a substantial catalog of more than 700 hours of past Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage, together with past PPVs. It also lists the live weekly simulcasts of Dynamite and Collision. See the current HBO Max AEW availability page for the service’s current description.
That does not establish a permanently complete AEW archive. Streaming catalogs can be reorganized, added to, or reduced as rights and programming windows change. HBO Max’s general programming help documentation notes that some titles may only be available for limited periods.
In practical terms, HBO Max is useful for three kinds of AEW viewer:
- The current viewer: watch Dynamite and Collision live without a traditional cable package, assuming the account and provider are eligible.
- The catch-up viewer: watch recent episodes on demand after they air.
- The historical viewer: browse a large, growing selection of older shows and past PPVs, while accepting that there may be catalog gaps.
What happened to AEW Rampage?
Rampage is now archive content, not a current weekly live Max simulcast. Its final episode aired on December 27, 2024, before the Max-era weekly schedule began. AEW identifies that broadcast as the final episode on its official episode page, and its official YouTube listing carries the same historical context.
So if you find Rampage while searching the HBO Max AEW catalog, you are finding older programming—not a third current weekly AEW show.
Are AEW PPVs included with an HBO Max subscription?
No—not automatically. The subscription and the live PPV purchase are separate.

Past PPVs in the library
Historical PPVs are part of the AEW library rollout when they are present in the current catalog. You can watch an archived event like any other available title, although the service does not guarantee that every past PPV will remain available indefinitely.
New live PPVs
New live AEW PPVs are sold as one-time purchases. The first live AEW PPV offered through HBO Max was AEW All Out on September 20, 2025. It was priced at $39.99 for U.S. HBO Max subscribers, compared with the $49.99 standard price cited for other purchase outlets in the announcement.
That $39.99 figure should be treated as an example, not a permanent AEW price. HBO Max’s current PPV help page says prices vary by event.
Buy In and Zero Hour
Some event-specific pre-shows are offered free on HBO Max and AEW’s digital platforms. For example, AEW’s Double or Nothing 2026 preview advertised pre-show availability. Because this can vary by event, check the official event page or the HBO Max listing before assuming that the Buy In or Zero Hour is included—or that it requires the full PPV purchase.
How to buy and watch an AEW PPV
HBO Max requires an active base subscription for an AEW PPV purchase. The service also lists an Adult profile, a supported device, and an accepted payment method among the requirements.
- Sign in to HBO Max with an active subscription.
- Switch to an Adult profile.
- Find the event from the Home screen, open Sports, or search for AEW, Pay Per View, PPV, or the event’s title.
- Open the event page and select
Watch for [price]. - Select
Continue. - Choose or enter a payment method.
- Select
Confirm & Pay Now. - Return to the event page to watch live. A purchased replay is available through My Stuff → My Purchases.
According to HBO Max’s PPV guidance, a purchased PPV can be streamed on only one device at a time and cannot be downloaded. If you miss the live event, HBO Max says the event can be purchased for up to two weeks after it airs. The service’s PPV instructions should be checked for the specific event because purchase windows, prices, and presentation can change.
HBO Max plans and prices
The following are the listed U.S. HBO Max prices as of August 10, 2026. Taxes may apply, and prices can differ when HBO Max is billed through a cable company, mobile provider, app store, or bundle. The current plan information is available from HBO Max’s plans and prices page.

For comparison, the launch-era Max tiers were generally listed at $9.99, $16.99, and $20.99 per month. Those were historical prices before the October 2025 increase and should not be used as current subscription costs. HBO Max’s price-change notice provides the relevant historical context.
Which plan do you need for weekly AEW?
The official HBO Max AEW help information describes weekly Dynamite and Collision access for HBO Max subscribers. Separately, HBO Max’s general live-sports information associates live sports access with Standard and Premium plans. The cited help pages do not clearly state that the AEW simulcasts require a particular higher tier or a separate sports add-on.
That means you should not assume that an ad-free plan is required, and you should not assume that every provider-billed account has identical access. If you subscribe through a cable, mobile, or streaming bundle, check the entitlement shown by that provider. For PPVs, the rule is unambiguous: an active HBO Max base subscription is required, and the event costs extra.

How to find AEW in the HBO Max app
Live sports and PPV listings do not always appear in the same shelves as ordinary series. The most reliable discovery methods are:
- Open Sports and look for the live or upcoming AEW listing.
- Search for AEW.
- Search for the specific event title or for PPV or Pay Per View.
- For a purchased event replay, open My Stuff → My Purchases.
For a weekly show, open the live listing at show time. For an older episode, search the show name and look for the date or season information attached to the result. App labels and shelves can change, so search is usually more dependable than relying on a particular Home-screen row. HBO Max documents the Home, Sports, and search routes in its programming help.
Devices, PPV restrictions, and practical setup
HBO Max generally supports phones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, streaming players, set-top boxes, and game consoles. The exact list changes, so consult the current supported-devices page before subscribing for a particular television or streaming box.
AEW PPVs have additional purchase and playback restrictions. HBO Max currently lists these as unable to purchase or play AEW PPV events:

- Android mobile devices

If you use one of those devices, purchase through HBOMax.com/aew or another supported device, then watch on the web or a supported television or streaming device. Do not wait until the opening bell to discover that the device attached to your TV cannot complete the transaction.
Will live AEW have commercials?
Possibly—and an ad-free subscription does not guarantee otherwise. HBO Max’s general advertising policy says that live events contain advertising regardless of the subscription plan. Therefore, Standard or Premium should not be described as guaranteeing a commercial-free live Dynamite, Collision, or PPV experience.
Replay treatment can differ from the original live feed and may change as the archive is organized. Unless the specific replay listing says otherwise, do not assume that an on-demand episode will be entirely commercial-free.
What picture and sound quality should you expect?
Do not buy HBO Max expecting a universal 4K AEW presentation. The current PPV help information describes playback of up to HD 1080p SDR with Dolby Atmos, while the announcement for the particular 2025 All Out event promoted HDR10 and Dolby Atmos.

A Premium plan’s 4K capability does not mean every AEW broadcast or PPV is produced or delivered in 4K, HDR, or Dolby Vision.

The original Max-AEW live-streaming announcement was specifically for U.S. Max subscribers. It should not be treated as a worldwide launch or as proof that an HBO Max subscription in another country includes the same AEW shows, archive, or PPVs.

AEW’s official PPV page lists different arrangements for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other international territories, including MyAEW and other authorized distributors. If you live outside the U.S., check AEW’s event-specific territory listing or your local rights holder instead of subscribing based on U.S. information.
What to do if AEW is missing from your account
I subscribed, but I cannot find Dynamite or Collision
- Search for AEW instead of browsing only the Home screen.
- Open Sports and check the live or upcoming listings.
- Confirm the local date, start time, and time zone. The regular listed schedule is Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET for Dynamite and Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET for Collision.
- Verify that the account is in the United States if you are relying on the U.S. rights arrangement.
- Update or restart the HBO Max app and sign in again.
- If you subscribed through another provider, confirm that the HBO Max entitlement has been activated on the correct account.
I have an ad-free plan, but I saw an advertisement
That can be normal during a live event. HBO Max says live events may contain advertising on every plan.

I thought my subscription included the PPV
A monthly or annual HBO Max plan does not automatically include a new live AEW PPV. Open the event page and look for its separate purchase price. You need both an active base subscription and the one-time PPV purchase.
I cannot buy the PPV on my television
Check whether the device is on HBO Max’s restricted list. If it is, use the web at HBOMax.com/aew or another supported device to purchase and then watch on a supported device.
The archive seems incomplete
That is not necessarily a technical error. The original deal described a rolling rollout, and the official announcement did not promise a complete historical archive on launch day. Even the current description of more than 700 hours does not guarantee every episode, special, match, or piece of footage at every moment.
What is the best AEW viewing option for you?
HBO Max is a strong choice if you:
- Want to watch live Dynamite and Collision without a traditional television package.
- Already subscribe to HBO Max for its wider entertainment catalog.
- Want current episodes and a large AEW back catalog in one app.
- Prefer to purchase AEW PPVs through the same service you use for weekly shows.
- Are a new or returning fan who wants to sample current AEW before exploring older episodes.
It is less ideal if you:
- Expect every historical AEW episode and special to be available immediately.
- Want every new live PPV included in the monthly subscription.
- Live outside the U.S. and need a service that is confirmed for your territory.
- Use a device that cannot purchase or play HBO Max AEW PPVs.
- Require a guaranteed commercial-free live feed.
- Want a perfectly chronological archive with no catalog gaps.
For U.S. cord-cutters who mainly follow the two current weekly shows, HBO Max is a practical cable alternative. For a fan who buys every PPV, the subscription is only part of the budget: add the event-specific purchase price. For a completionist, it is better viewed as a large and useful AEW library than as a guaranteed substitute for every historical source.

In the United States, TBS and TNT remain the traditional television outlets for Dynamite and Collision. AEW PPVs are also sold through other authorized outlets, including Prime Video, PPV.com, traditional cable and satellite PPV, and territory-specific services. International viewers may need MyAEW or a local rights-holder platform.
AEW’s official YouTube channel commonly carries previews, highlights, and selected pre-show programming, but it should not be treated as a source for the complete regular live PPV card for free. Use authorized services and check the event’s official distribution information.
Upcoming event note
As of August 10, 2026, HBO Max’s official August schedule lists AEW All In: London for August 30, 2026. The listed Buy In start time is 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by the PPV at 1 p.m. ET. Because this is a scheduled future event relative to the date of this update, confirm the event page for its final price, purchase rules, and availability before ordering. The schedule is published in HBO Max’s August 2026 programming announcement.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: For U.S. fans, HBO Max is now a practical way to watch live Dynamite and Collision, replay many past AEW shows, and access a growing archive. It is not an all-inclusive AEW pass: new live PPVs cost extra, the archive is not guaranteed to be complete, live events may contain ads, and international or device availability varies.
