Bad Bunny became the first solo Latino artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. That wording matters: he was not the first Latino artist to appear during halftime. He had already appeared in the 2020 halftime production alongside Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, who jointly headlined that show. Apple Music’s official Super Bowl LX playlist contains 18 studio tracks associated with the show and is useful for identifying the source material. It is not necessarily a frame-by-frame transcript of the broadcast, nor should its featured artists automatically be treated as performers who appeared at Levi’s Stadium.

Cameos and people who appeared but did not perform

According to The Associated Press, Bad Bunny had reportedly been invited to the couple’s wedding and instead invited them to participate in his halftime production.
Bad Bunny served as a witness and signed the marriage certificate. The cake and ceremony were real, making this a genuine wedding incorporated into the staging—not a scripted celebrity cameo and not another musical performance.
Puerto Rican culture and the “casita” staging
The halftime show used Puerto Rican flags, a small-house-party setting known as the “casita,” dancers, and symbols associated with Puerto Rican life and music. Its sound moved through or drew on plena, salsa, bomba, reggaetón, and Latin trap.
Traditional instruments and percussion included the cuatro, güiro, palitos, maracas, and plena percussion. The staging presented the music as part of a living community and cultural tradition rather than as a generic Latin-pop interlude. The closing message emphasized love and unity.

The Bad Bunny halftime show averaged 128.2 million viewers during the 15-minute period from 8:15 to 8:30 p.m. ET. The overall broadcast peaked at 137.8 million viewers during the second quarter. On Telemundo, the average audience was 3.3 million, while the halftime show reached 4.8 million viewers on the Spanish-language network. Nielsen published the updated figures.
The 128.2 million halftime audience should not be described as the all-time most-watched halftime show. The NFL cited the 2025 Kendrick Lamar performance at 133.5 million viewers, ahead of the Super Bowl LX figure. Comparisons between years should also account for changes in audience measurement and distribution platforms.
