There is no single camera conclusively documented as the source of Bella Hadid’s photos. The clearest published model-specific attribution is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W810; other coverage reports a Ricoh GR III among her cameras. The Canon PowerShot G7 X belongs in the conversation as a popular creator compact, but the available evidence does not confirm it as Bella’s camera.
The cameras linked to Bella Hadid
Published coverage points to a rotation of compact digital and film cameras, not one model used for every image. That distinction matters: a camera visible in a photo, a model named by a publication, and a camera Bella has personally confirmed are different levels of evidence.
- Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W810: ELLE Singapore identifies this point-and-shoot as Bella’s camera of choice and illustrates the claim with a Bella Instagram post. This is the most specific model attribution in the available coverage, not a direct confirmation from Bella.
- Ricoh GR III: ELLE Australia reports it as one camera in her rotation, rather than her sole or definitive camera.
- Other compact and film cameras: Coverage describes a collection, and images do not always show enough detail to identify a model. NZZ Bellevue has also shown her using a digital camera at the US Open in its reporting on the compact-camera revival, but that does not establish a specific model.
So the careful answer is that the Sony W810 is the strongest published model-specific link, while the Ricoh GR III is another reported camera. Neither should be treated as the camera behind all her photographs.

What makes the Sony DSC-W810 distinctive?
The W810 is a small, straightforward consumer point-and-shoot, not a current premium compact. ELLE Singapore lists a 20.1-megapixel Super HAD CCD sensor, 6× optical zoom, SteadyShot image stabilization, 720p HD video, Easy Mode and built-in picture effects. Its appeal today is less about cutting-edge performance than its compact simplicity and older-camera character.

That character can include direct-flash highlights, hard shadows, less polished color and exposure, and visible noise in dim conditions. An older CCD camera may handle light and color differently from a modern phone, but those traits are not a guaranteed preset or a complete explanation for any particular photo. The cited coverage does not verify Bella’s settings, flash power, editing, or use of the W810 for a specific image.
How the Ricoh GR III differs
The Ricoh GR III is a premium, photography-oriented compact designed for portable everyday and street photography. Its fixed lens encourages deliberate framing; unlike the W810, it does not offer a conventional zoom range. That makes it a different kind of tool, not simply a more expensive version of a flash-heavy digicam.

If your priority is discreet, high-quality still photography, the GR III may be appealing. If you want casual zooming, a low-cost used camera, or an old-school party-snapshot effect, it may be a poor match. The Bella connection reported by ELLE Australia is one camera in a rotation, not proof that her photos generally come from the GR III.
Why the Canon G7 X gets mentioned
The Canon PowerShot G7 X is strongly associated with the creator and influencer compact-camera trend. Canon’s specifications for the G7 X Mark III include a 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor with approximately 20.1 effective megapixels, a 4.2× optical zoom covering a 24–100mm-equivalent range, an f/1.8–2.8 maximum aperture, optical image stabilization, 4K video, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an external microphone terminal.

Those features make it a capable modern compact for people who want a bright zoom lens, connectivity and video alongside stills. But popularity in the same trend is not evidence of ownership: the coverage available here does not establish that Bella’s camera is a G7 X Mark II or Mark III. Do not confuse a general influencer favorite with a confirmed Bella choice.
Canon announced a 30th-anniversary limited edition of the G7 X Mark III in February 2026, scheduled for April 2026 at an estimated US retail price of $1,299. That figure applies to the special edition, not necessarily the standard model or used units; Canon notes that pricing and availability can change and dealers set actual prices. What creates the compact-camera look?
The camera contributes, but the body alone does not manufacture a celebrity’s finished image. Several choices can shape the result:
- Direct flash: Close, on-camera flash can create sharp highlights and hard shadows associated with party snapshots. It can also wash out faces or create distracting reflections if used carelessly.
- Distance and framing: Moving closer and choosing a deliberate frame can matter more than relying on digital zoom. Different lenses and focal lengths change perspective and how much of the scene appears.
- Exposure and available light: Older compacts may preserve blown highlights, dark backgrounds or grain instead of smoothing everything into a bright, even image. Imperfection is not automatic charm; it is a trade-off.
- Editing and selection: The final impression depends on which images are chosen, how they are cropped and edited, and how social platforms resize and compress them.
- Styling, setting and composition: Clothing, location, pose, timing and the photographer’s choices are at least as important as the camera.
No cited source establishes the settings, editing workflow or flash technique behind Bella’s individual pictures. A visually similar result does not prove which camera took an image: several cameras can converge on a similar look through flash, editing and compression.

The Sony RX100 III is one premium alternative, with a 20.1-megapixel sensor and a 24–70mm-equivalent ZEISS zoom with an f/1.8–2.8 aperture. Sony lists Full HD video, clean HDMI output, focus peaking and zebra aids. It is a different camera from the W810, and its feature set makes it a better fit for buyers seeking a compact with more advanced controls than a basic point-and-shoot.
Buying an older compact camera used
A used W810 or similar digicam may be a closer route to an older point-and-shoot look than a new premium camera, but age introduces practical risks. Before buying, ask for sample images from the actual unit and check:
- Whether the battery holds charge and whether a replacement is available; confirm whether a charger is included or how the camera charges.
- Whether the lens extends and retracts smoothly, and whether zoom and autofocus work throughout their range.
- Whether the flash fires reliably and the LCD has no damage or distracting dead pixels.
- Which memory card the exact model accepts and whether you can obtain a compatible card.
- For corrosion, water damage, sticky controls, damaged ports and any signs of a drop.
- The seller’s return terms and whether the listing specifies the exact model number, accessories and condition.
Model names are easy to blur together in listings and social posts. A Sony DSC-W810 is not an RX100; a Canon G7 X, G7 X Mark II and G7 X Mark III are distinct versions; and the Ricoh GR III is not the GR IIIx. Verify the model number rather than buying on a vague family name or a lookalike photo.

The published claims do not establish which camera took each Bella Hadid image, whether she personally endorsed either named model, whether the cameras pictured are hers or borrowed, or what settings, flash, editing and processing she used. When a camera is not clearly visible, an exact identification based on resemblance is speculation. A publication’s model attribution is useful evidence, but it is not the same as first-person confirmation.
