NBA League Pass is the best overall place to watch full NBA game replays, particularly for out-of-market games and older games in the NBA archive. For U.S. viewers, however, local and nationally televised games can be delayed by blackout rules. If a replay is missing, check the original broadcaster—ESPN/ABC, NBC/Peacock, Prime Video, or the relevant regional sports network.

This guide explains where to find the complete game, how long replays take to appear, and which subscription fits the type of game you missed.

Best overall option: NBA League Pass

NBA League Pass is the main on-demand service for full NBA game replays. It is designed especially for fans following teams outside their local market and includes live and on-demand out-of-market games, full-game replays, condensed games, highlights, alternative broadcasts where available, and archive content.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The official NBA Help Center says the archive extends from the 2012–13 season through the present, although the catalog should not be treated as a complete record of every NBA game ever televised.

Popular on Amazon

As displayed on the NBA purchase page on August 16–18, 2026, the monthly plans were:

  • League Pass: $16.99 per month.
  • League Pass Premium: $24.99 per month.

Premium adds features listed by the NBA such as offline viewing on supported iOS and Android devices, up to three devices, alternative broadcasts, multiview, and fewer commercial interruptions. Prices, promotions, taxes, plan features, and availability can change, so confirm the current offer before subscribing.

League Pass is not a guaranteed immediate-replay pass for every U.S. game. Local and national blackouts still apply.

Choose the service based on where the game aired

Original broadcast First place to check League Pass timing or limitation
ABC or ESPN ESPN App or an eligible TV provider League Pass replay is generally available at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time the next day.
NBC or Peacock Peacock or NBC-related access Check the broadcaster’s replay listing first; League Pass may be delayed by national restrictions.
Prime Video Prime Video Check Amazon’s game page and completed-game listings.
Local regional network The team’s regional sports network or an authorized provider League Pass full replay may take 72 hours.
Out-of-market, non-national game NBA League Pass The primary destination after the live broadcast has ended, subject to availability and processing.
Older or classic game NBA League Pass archive Availability depends on the archive catalog.

How long does a full replay take to appear?

For U.S. League Pass subscribers, the NBA’s current replay guidance specifies these windows:

  • Nationally televised games: available at 6:00 a.m. ET the following day.
  • Games carried on local television networks: available after 72 hours.

These delays explain why a game can be finished but still show only highlights or a condensed version in League Pass. An out-of-market game that is not subject to those restrictions will generally appear after the live broadcast ends, but processing and platform availability can vary.

Read the NBA’s full-game replay guidance for the latest timing rules.

Full replay versus condensed game

A full-game replay is the complete edited broadcast, normally with commercial breaks removed. It includes the game from opening tip to final buzzer, rather than only the decisive possessions.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A condensed game is substantially shorter and focuses on important plays. Highlights are shorter clips or selected sequences. Neither is a substitute for watching the entire game.

Depending on the feed, a full replay may use the original television commentary, an alternate broadcast, or another available presentation. League Pass’s product description includes edited broadcasts, condensed games, and highlights, so check the label carefully before pressing play.

How to find a replay in League Pass

  1. Open NBA.com or the NBA App.
  2. Sign in to the NBA account connected to your League Pass subscription.
  3. Open the Games, Schedule, replay, or archive section.
  4. Select the completed game.
  5. Choose Watch Now or the full-game replay option when it appears.

Labels and menus can differ between NBA.com, mobile apps, connected-TV apps, and third-party platforms. If you see only a condensed game or highlights, check the game’s broadcast type and applicable delay before assuming the replay is unavailable.

Where to watch nationally televised games

ABC and ESPN

For the NBA’s 2025–26 U.S. distribution, ABC and ESPN games are routed through the ESPN App and eligible television access. If you want a nationally televised game as soon as possible, check ESPN first. Completed-game replay availability, authentication requirements, and how long a replay remains available depend on ESPN’s current policies and the particular account or package.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

League Pass generally does not provide the live U.S. stream of a national game and makes the full replay available at 6:00 a.m. ET the next day.

NBC and Peacock

NBC and Peacock carry part of the NBA’s national package. Peacock’s NBA page listed Premium at $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year and Premium Plus at $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year when checked August 16–18, 2026. Offers and prices may change.

Peacock is a sensible choice if you mainly want NBC/Peacock games or already use its sports and entertainment catalog. It is not a replacement for League Pass’s broad out-of-market replay library. Confirm that the specific completed game is available on demand rather than assuming that live rights guarantee indefinite replay access.

Prime Video

Prime Video carries Amazon’s own NBA package. Amazon also allows supported viewers to access NBA League Pass through Prime Video as a separate subscription. These are two different things: Prime Video’s NBA games are not the same as a League Pass add-on, and Prime Video alone does not include the complete League Pass catalog.

Local games and regional sports networks

Local-team games are often the most confusing. In the United States, League Pass uses location-based blackouts. A game may be unavailable live because it is carried by the team’s local broadcaster, even if you subscribe to League Pass.

The alternative is the relevant regional sports network, its authorized streaming option, a participating pay-TV provider, or a live-TV streaming bundle that carries the network. There is no single regional sports network for every team or market, so check the team’s official viewing information and use your ZIP code when comparing live-TV services.

League Pass may eventually provide the full replay, but the NBA specifies a 72-hour delay for games carried on local TV networks. A local-market viewer who needs the replay immediately should start with the regional broadcaster.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can one subscription show every NBA game?

For U.S. viewers, do not assume that one subscription covers every game immediately. League Pass offers the broadest NBA-focused replay library, but local and national blackouts mean that full coverage can require a combination of League Pass, national services, and a local-market option.

The most practical setup depends on your viewing pattern:

  • Out-of-market fan: League Pass is usually the strongest single choice.
  • Local-team fan: Start with the team’s regional sports network, then add League Pass if you also follow out-of-market teams.
  • National-game viewer: Use ESPN/ABC, Peacock, or Prime Video according to the original broadcast.
  • Archive viewer: Start with the League Pass archive and search for the specific season or matchup.
  • Occasional viewer: Check the broadcaster carrying that game before purchasing a full-season service.

What to do when the replay is missing

  1. Identify the original broadcast. Was it local, national, or an out-of-market game?
  2. Check your location. Blackouts are based on where you are currently watching, not simply the billing address or favorite team selected on the account.
  3. Verify the account. Sign out and back in to confirm that you are using the NBA account with the active League Pass subscription.
  4. Check the original broadcaster. Look in ESPN, Peacock, Prime Video, or the regional sports network’s replay section.
  5. Wait through the applicable window. National games may require waiting until 6:00 a.m. ET the next day; local-network games may require 72 hours.
  6. Try NBA.com or the NBA App. A third-party television app may display a different catalog or menu.
  7. Contact NBA support. If the relevant delay has passed and the full replay is still missing, ask support before buying another subscription.

Do not rely on a VPN to bypass restrictions. Blackouts are tied to location, and using a workaround may conflict with a service’s current terms. The reliable legal solution is the authorized local or national broadcaster.

International viewers

This article’s timing and broadcaster guidance is primarily for viewers in the United States. NBA League Pass blackout rules differ by country. The NBA says games are available live through League Pass in countries other than the U.S. and Canada, subject to country-specific rights and restrictions.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not apply the U.S. 6:00 a.m. or 72-hour replay windows automatically to Canada or another country. Check the local NBA League Pass page and the broadcaster listed for your location.

Can you download a full replay?

League Pass Premium includes offline downloads for full-length games and recaps on supported Android and iOS devices. The NBA indicates that downloads are started from the game’s more-options menu. Downloads are not necessarily supported on every connected TV, browser, or third-party platform.

What about YouTube?

YouTube is useful for official NBA highlights and clips, but it is not a dependable source for official full-game replays. YouTube’s help documentation says it is no longer able to continue offering NBA League Pass through YouTube TV or Primetime Channels. Treat unofficial full-game uploads cautiously and use NBA League Pass or the authorized broadcaster for complete games.

Bottom line for each type of viewer

  • Best overall replay service: NBA League Pass.
  • Best for multiple out-of-market teams: League Pass.
  • Best for a national game immediately after broadcast: The original service—ESPN/ABC, Peacock/NBC, or Prime Video.
  • Best for local games: The team’s regional sports network or an authorized live-TV provider.
  • Best for older games: The League Pass archive, subject to catalog availability.
  • Best for downloads: League Pass Premium on supported mobile devices.

The fastest way to find a missed game is to identify where it originally aired. Use League Pass for the broad archive and out-of-market catalog, but check the broadcaster whenever a local or national blackout delays the replay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I watch yesterday’s NBA game in full?

Usually, but the service depends on the broadcast. League Pass generally has out-of-market replays after the game, nationally televised games at 6:00 a.m. ET the next day, and local-network games after 72 hours. The original broadcaster may have the replay sooner.

Why is my local team’s NBA game blacked out?

League Pass uses location-based blackouts when a game is carried by a local broadcaster. Check the team’s regional sports network or an authorized local provider.

Does NBA League Pass include classic games?

Its official archive begins with the 2012–13 season, but availability varies and it is not guaranteed to contain every historic broadcast.

Can I watch NBA League Pass through Prime Video?

Yes, where supported, but League Pass is a separate subscription from Prime Video’s own NBA games. Prime Video alone does not include the full League Pass catalog.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is a condensed NBA game the same as a full replay?

No. A condensed game is shortened to show key possessions, while a full replay contains the complete edited broadcast.

What is the cheapest legal way to watch one missed game?

First check whether the original broadcaster already provides the replay through an existing subscription. If not, compare that broadcaster’s access with League Pass, but account for local and national blackout delays.
