How to check a live-TV service before subscribing
- Enter the ZIP code for the location where you planned to watch.
- Confirm that the channel lineup specifically includes the local CBS station, not merely CBS programming in general.
- Check whether the service’s current package, rather than a more expensive tier, includes that station.
- Review the end date, billing terms, and cancellation requirements for any free trial or introductory offer.
Free trials, prices, eligibility rules, and local-channel coverage are promotional or market-specific details. A service that carried CBS in one city might not have carried the local affiliate in another. Do not rely on an old promise of a “free stream” without checking the service’s current terms.
Was there separate red-carpet coverage?
