There is no verified current official Soap2Day website. The original Soap2Day service shut down in June 2023, and later Canadian court orders permanently barred the defendants from operating or promoting the Soap2Day platforms and related domains. A site, mirror, APK, or “official domains” list using the Soap2Day name should therefore be treated as an unaffiliated clone or an impersonation—not as a confirmed return of the original service.

Why there is no confirmed official link
The known Soap2Day service displayed a shutdown notice around June 12–13, 2023. Contemporary reporting said the operator had decided to close the service “forever” after legal action involving major entertainment companies. News coverage at the time identified domains associated with the known network, including soap2day.to, soap2day.ac, soap2day.sh, soap2day.mx, several s2dfree domains, and Soapgate advisory domains. Those are historical names, not recommendations or current official addresses. TorrentFreak’s contemporary report documented the shutdown and the domains then associated with the service.

A newly registered domain that copies the name, colors, logo, layout, disclaimers, or domain lists cannot establish that it is operated by the former team. Domain registration records, a familiar-looking homepage, an APK, or a claim that the site is the “real mirror” are not proof of continuity.
What the court orders show
The legal record provides stronger evidence than search-result claims. A Federal Court of Canada default judgment permanently enjoined the defendants from operating, maintaining, promoting, or supporting the Soap2Day platforms. It also addressed the listed domains and similar services. The published judgment is the primary legal document discussed in the reporting.
On December 16, 2024, the court also issued a site-blocking order covering Soap2Day platforms and allowing associated domains to be added to the blocklist. That order was directed at specified Canadian internet service providers, so it should not be misread as a universal technical block in every country. It does, however, reinforce the important point: courts and rightsholders continued to identify Soap2Day-branded platforms as unauthorized services, not as a legitimate streaming company that had officially relaunched. Why search results for “official Soap2Day” are risky
After a well-known piracy site disappears, unrelated operators often reuse its name to attract visitors who are searching for a replacement. Some pages may simply redirect users through advertising networks; others may use deceptive downloads, browser-notification prompts, fake CAPTCHA screens, phishing forms, or malicious advertisements. Security reports have identified phishing, malware, suspicious infrastructure, or other risk signals for at least some Soap2Day-branded domains.

That does not prove that every domain using the name behaves identically, and a reputation score from an automated scanner is not a complete forensic examination. It does mean that a Soap2Day-branded page should not be trusted merely because it appears in a search engine or calls itself official. Gridinsoft’s security discussion describes the risks associated with sites and apps reusing the name, while ScamAdviser’s report illustrates why reputation signals should be treated as warnings rather than proof of legitimacy.
Red flags to stop at immediately
Leave the page if it asks you to do any of the following before showing a video:
- Click several fake “Play” buttons or allow repeated redirects.
- Permit browser notifications to continue.
- Complete a CAPTCHA that requires installing an extension, copying a command, or downloading a file.
- Install a “required” video player, codec, APK, browser extension, or desktop program.
- Call a phone number displayed in a pop-up claiming that your computer is infected.
- Enter an email password, streaming-service password, credit-card number, or other payment information.
- Disable antivirus or browser security protections.
A padlock or HTTPS connection does not make the operator legitimate. HTTPS encrypts the connection to a website; it does not verify that the site is the former Soap2Day team, that its streams are licensed, or that its downloads are safe.
If you already opened a Soap2Day-branded page
Do not assume that your device is infected just because a pop-up or redirect appeared. Merely opening and closing a page does not establish that malware was installed. Your next steps depend on what happened.

If you only opened the page
- Close the tab and any pop-up windows. Do not click additional buttons to dismiss them if the browser permits you to close the tab normally.
- Check the browser’s notification permissions and remove any unfamiliar site that was allowed to send notifications.
- Review the browser’s extension list and uninstall anything you did not intentionally add.
- Run your operating system and browser updates, then perform a scan with your existing reputable security software.
If you downloaded or installed something
- Do not open the downloaded file. If it is already running, disconnect the device from the internet if practical and stop the program.
- Uninstall unfamiliar applications and extensions, especially anything installed immediately after the visit.
- Run a full antivirus or endpoint-security scan. If the computer is used for work, banking, or sensitive information, consider asking your organization’s IT or a qualified technician for help.
- Watch for new redirects, changed search settings, unusual pop-ups, disabled security tools, high resource usage, or unknown accounts.
For Windows users who specifically need a cleanup check for potentially unwanted applications, invalid browser redirects, or privacy settings, a Windows cleanup tool such as Outbyte PC Repair may be one option to evaluate. Its own documentation says it complements rather than replaces antivirus software, so it should not be presented as proof that a Soap2Day-related infection exists or as a substitute for a full security investigation.
If you entered a password
- Change that password immediately from the genuine service’s website or app—not through a link from the suspicious page.
- Change it anywhere else you reused it.
- Enable multifactor authentication where available.
- Review recent account activity and sign out other sessions if the service provides that option.
If you entered payment information
Contact the bank, card issuer, or payment provider using the phone number or app on the back of the card or its official website. Explain what happened, ask whether the card should be replaced, and monitor transactions. Do not call a number supplied by a suspicious pop-up.
How to find a movie legally instead
Movie and television licensing varies by country and changes over time, so there is no permanent universal list of legal replacements. Search for the title in a legitimate availability-search service, check the official apps for services available in your country, or consider rental, purchase, library, and physical-media options. Confirm the country and date shown in the result before paying: a title may be included in one region, available only to rent in another, or unavailable altogether.
The practical search process is:
- Write down the exact film or series title, release year, and—if relevant—the season or episode.
- Search a recognized legal availability guide or the official websites of licensed services in your country.
- Check whether the result says subscription, rental, purchase, free-with-ads, or library access.
- Open the result through the service’s official app or manually entered website rather than an unfamiliar redirect.
- Check the total price, resolution, subtitles, audio language, and cancellation terms before starting a subscription or rental.
Do not replace one uncertain site with another domain that merely promises “free HD streaming.” A legal service should identify the provider, present ordinary account and payment controls, and make its terms and content rights reasonably clear. A service being free does not automatically make it illegal, but a copied Soap2Day brand and a chain of aggressive redirects are not evidence of lawful availability.

Are Soap2Day mirrors safe?
