The Nitro Girls started as a dance troupe formed by Kimberly Page to entertain audiences during WCW Monday Nitro commercial breaks in 1997. Their roles later extended into WCW storylines and, for some, wrestling. The group appeared on WCW television through 2001, but reliable updates on the former members’ lives today are uneven; the dated reports below should not be mistaken for verified 2026 status.
What happened to the Nitro Girls?
The Nitro Girls were a changing cast, not a permanent seven-person lineup. A 1999 WCW program lists Fyre, A.C. Jazz, Kimberly Page, Spice, Tygress, Storm and Chae. The troupe’s presence grew beyond dancing as members took on characters, manager roles and, in a few cases, wrestling roles.

In 1997, Page formed and led the group. Sharmell joined after an Atlanta audition in 1998, choosing the name Storm. After Page left in November 1999, Spice took over leadership; a leadership conflict involving Spice and A.C. Jazz also entered the WCW storylines. The troupe’s television era ended in 2001.

Kimberly Page
WWE identifies Page as the Nitro Girls’ founder. She later appeared in WCW storylines, and a wrestling-history profile records her departure from the group in November 1999. The available sources do not establish her current occupation or activities.
Sharmell (Storm, later Paisley)
In a 2012 WWE retrospective, Sharmell recalled joining after an Atlanta dance audition in 1998 and choosing Storm as her troupe name. She later became Paisley, manager for The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea, trained briefly at WCW’s Power Plant and wrestled Sunny in 2000. WWE says she joined its roster in 2001.

- WWE-GREATEST WRESTLING STARS OF THE '80S (DVD MOVIE)
Sharmell described dance as her original focus: “Dance is my first love; at the time, I didn’t have my eyes set on wrestling at all.” WWE’s 2012 article also reported that she was acting, raising twins and creating the X-Girls for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling events. Those are details from that 2012 account, not a verified description of her present-day life.
Stacy Keibler
Keibler entered the group after winning a Nitro Girls dance contest. WWE’s retrospective traces her later involvement in WCW storylines, her appearances with the WCW/ECW Alliance and her subsequent career in WWE. That career history does not establish what she is doing now.

Spice (Melissa Anne Bellin)
Online World of Wrestling identifies Spice as Melissa Anne Bellin and reports that she lived in Atlanta and worked as a chiropractor. Treat those as details in that profile, not as independently confirmed 2026 information. The profile also records her WCW role and her later leadership of the Nitro Girls.
Tygress (Vanessa Sanchez)
Online World of Wrestling identifies Tygress as Vanessa Sanchez and records her move from dancing into WCW on-screen roles, including a valet role with the Filthy Animals. The available sources do not establish her current location or occupation.
Rank #4
Fyre (Teri Byrne)
A biographical page identifies Fyre as Teri Byrne and describes her involvement in the post-WCW group Diversity 5, followed by work in higher education, including admissions and campus leadership roles. Because that account is a tertiary source and the employment details are not independently confirmed here, it is best understood as a reported career transition, not evidence of a current post.
A.C. Jazz and Chae
A 1999 program includes both women in the troupe, and WWE’s retrospective describes A.C. Jazz’s competition with Spice over leadership after Page’s departure. The available material does not provide reliable present-day updates for A.C. Jazz or Chae.

Did the Nitro Girls reunite?
A 2015 event preview announced a Reality of Wrestling appearance in Houston by five former members: Chae, Spice, Storm/Sharmell, Fyre and Tygress. That announcement documents a reunion appearance planned for that event; it does not establish an ongoing reunion act.
Can you still watch or buy Nitro Girls footage?
Historical WCW material documents a Nitro Girls program sold at live shows, as well as a pay-per-view and VHS tape. The sources establish that these releases existed, but do not verify current listings, availability, condition, exact editions or format details. A search for “WCW Nitro Girls VHS” may help locate historical listings, but check the specific item rather than assuming a current listing is official or complete.
