Spoilers for Tulsa King season 2, episode 9, “Triad.” Armand Truisi does not vanish after stealing $500,000 from Dwight Manfredi. He turns back, returns the money, apologizes, and accepts a dangerous chance to repair the damage. Dwight uses Armand as bait to bring Jackie Ming and his men to Margaret’s Fennario Ranch, where Dwight and Bill Bevilaqua spring an ambush. Jackie survives the first burst of gunfire but is captured, and Tyson kills him with Dwight’s ceremonial tomahawk. Dwight then tells Armand they are square, giving him a practical route back into the crew rather than pretending the betrayal never happened.
What happens to Armand after he robs Dwight?
Armand changes course before he can escape with Dwight’s money. After taking half a million dollars from the operation, he turns around instead of continuing toward the Mexican border, returns the cash, and faces Dwight with an apology. The episode treats that decision as the turning point in his story: Armand is still responsible for the betrayal, but he is no longer running from it.
The $500,000 figure comes from the Ready Steady Cut recap and is a plot amount, not a real-world statistic. Its dramatic purpose is to establish the scale of Armand’s betrayal and why Dwight would have a strong reason to retaliate. Returning the money removes the immediate financial loss, but it does not automatically restore trust.

The episode leaves room for two readings of Armand’s motive. His decision can be understood as self-preservation—he knows Dwight may find him and that the stolen money will not buy a safe future—or as genuine remorse. The on-screen actions establish that he returns the cash, admits what he did, and asks for a way to make amends; they do not provide a private confession that proves one motive beyond the other.

That uncertainty makes Armand’s return more useful to the plot. If he had simply disappeared, Dwight’s response would have been limited to a manhunt or punishment. By coming back, Armand gives Dwight a choice between revenge and conditional redemption, and the episode makes Dwight’s answer the foundation for the final act.
Does Dwight forgive Armand?
Dwight does not give Armand a clean emotional pardon. He offers a transaction: make restitution, accept the risk, and help remove the threat created by the betrayal. Once Armand’s plan succeeds, Dwight tells him that they are square, meaning the debt has been settled in practical terms.
“Square” is narrower than “forgiven.” Dwight does not erase the memory of the robbery or announce that Armand is trusted exactly as before. Instead, he recognizes that Armand returned the money, showed remorse, and performed a useful act for the organization. The second chance is conditional and earned through consequences, not granted as a favor.

How does Armand use Jackie Ming to make amends?
Armand approaches Jackie Ming and proposes an attack on Dwight at Fennario Ranch. Because Jackie is willing to act on the information, Armand can direct Jackie’s group to the ranch while Dwight prepares the location. Armand therefore becomes bait and guide at the same time: he places himself close enough to Jackie to make the trap believable, while giving Dwight control over where the confrontation occurs.
The ranch is not an arbitrary backdrop. Paramount+’s official synopsis says, “Margaret gets caught up in the middle of Dwight’s business as trouble ensues at Fennario Ranch.” The recap connects Jackie’s business relationship to the property with the reason it becomes the target. Margaret’s arrangement with Cal Thresher, which involves Thresher taking a 49 percent ownership stake, adds another layer of pressure around the ranch. That 49 percent figure is also reported by Ready Steady Cut as a plot detail.

What happens at Fennario Ranch?
Dwight and Bill Bevilaqua divide their shooters into separate groups and hide them around the property. Jackie’s men arrive expecting to attack Dwight on their terms. Instead, the lights come on and the concealed gunmen open fire, turning the ranch into a controlled kill zone.
- Armand brings Jackie’s group onto the property. His presence helps sell the idea that the attack is proceeding normally.
- Dwight and Bill hold their positions. The shooters remain hidden until Jackie’s men are exposed.
- The lights switch on. The sudden illumination signals that Jackie’s side has lost the advantage of surprise.
- The ambush begins. Gunfire scatters Jackie’s men and leaves Jackie wounded.
- Jackie is captured. He survives the initial shooting long enough to be taken alive.
Fennario Ranch matters because it lets Dwight solve several problems at once. He protects his own people, turns Jackie’s planned assault against him, and keeps the confrontation tied to the property whose ownership and business connections are already causing trouble.

Who kills Jackie Ming?
Tyson kills Jackie after the ambush. Jackie is wounded and captured during the gunfight, but the shooting does not finish him. Tyson uses Dwight’s ceremonial tomahawk to deliver the killing blow, making the weapon a visual marker of Dwight’s authority even though Dwight is not the person who swings it.
The scene also clarifies the difference between capture and survival. Jackie is not merely driven away or left missing; the episode gives him a definite fate. His death removes the most dangerous new opponent in this particular conflict and closes the immediate threat that brought the gunmen to the ranch.
What does Armand’s “debt is settled” status mean for the crew?
Dwight’s decision gives Armand a path back into the organization, but it does not guarantee a full restoration of his old position. Armand has demonstrated that he can be useful under pressure, yet the betrayal remains part of his history with Dwight. The episode’s resolution is therefore pragmatic: Armand is allowed to continue, provided his actions have compensated for the harm he caused.

That arrangement fits Dwight’s leadership style in the episode. He evaluates Armand by what Armand does after being confronted, not only by the original offense. Returning the money matters, but the decisive proof is that Armand accepts a role in a plan that could easily have gotten him killed if Jackie suspected the setup.

Was Armand motivated by remorse or self-preservation?
The strongest answer is that the episode supports both possibilities without settling the question. Armand’s apology and return of the cash point toward remorse. His knowledge that Dwight would retaliate, and his need for protection after the theft, make self-preservation equally plausible.
What is not ambiguous is the sequence of choices. Armand stops fleeing, returns what he took, seeks Dwight’s permission to repair the damage, and risks his position by approaching Jackie. Those actions are enough for Dwight to accept a limited redemption, even if viewers disagree about how noble Armand’s original impulse was.
How does the episode change the balance of power before the finale?
Jackie’s removal temporarily aligns Dwight, Bill Bevilaqua, and Cal Thresher. With Jackie gone, the new coalition has fewer immediate obstacles around the ranch and the related business interests. Ready Steady Cut describes this as a temporary alignment, not a permanent alliance; the episode does not promise that the three men will remain united.
Chickie Invernizzi and the Invernizzi family remain the major unresolved pressure. Jackie’s death closes one line of conflict, but it does not settle the larger danger surrounding Dwight. The result is a finale setup in which Dwight has won a tactical battle while still facing an enemy with reasons to retaliate.

How does “Triad” fit into season 2?
Paramount+ lists “Triad” as season 2, episode 9, positioned between “Under New Management” and “Reconstruction.” The episode aired on November 10, 2024, according to Rotten Tomatoes, which lists Craig Zisk as director and Terence Winter as screenwriter. Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi, Max Casella plays Armand Truisi, and Domenick Lombardozzi plays Chickie Invernizzi.
The title’s practical meaning is visible in the episode’s shifting three-way relationships: Dwight’s operation, Jackie’s force, and the business interests surrounding Fennario Ranch. Armand’s return changes the shape of that conflict because he moves from betrayer to intermediary, allowing Dwight to replace a direct confrontation with a controlled ambush.
What is the ending’s main meaning?
Armand’s story is about conditional redemption rather than absolution. He cannot undo the theft, but he can return the money, accept responsibility, and place himself in danger to help Dwight. Dwight responds by settling the debt after the operation, showing that loyalty can be rebuilt through action even when trust is not restored instantly.
Jackie’s death supplies the hard consequence on the other side of that moral equation. Armand receives a second chance because he helps expose the enemy; Jackie, after choosing to attack the ranch, is captured and killed. The episode therefore ends with both mercy and violence, each tied to a character’s response to Dwight’s power.
