The short answer: Tubi streamed Super Bowl LIX free in the United States on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Viewers did not need a paid subscription, but they did need a free Tubi account and had to remain signed in. That live event has ended, and Tubi did not keep it available as a replay.
If you are looking for the current Super Bowl streaming arrangement, do not assume Tubi carries the game every year. Super Bowl LX, played on February 8, 2026, was carried nationally by NBC, with streaming through Peacock, according to the NFL’s official ways-to-watch information.
What happened to the free Tubi Super Bowl stream?
Fox made Super Bowl LIX available on Tubi as a free, ad-supported stream in the United States. It was a one-time live-event arrangement for the February 9, 2025 game—not a permanent announcement that Tubi would stream every Super Bowl.
Tubi’s event page now says that the event has ended. The original help information also stated that the game was intended to be watched live and would not remain available as a replay after the broadcast.

So, as of August 12, 2026, there is no live Super Bowl LIX stream to start on Tubi. The instructions below explain how the 2025 stream worked and may help you understand the requirements for similar future Tubi live events.
What you needed to watch Super Bowl LIX on Tubi
- A free Tubi account: Tubi required viewers to register and stay signed in for the live game.
- No paid subscription: There was no subscription fee for the stream.
- An internet-connected supported device: Viewers could use the Tubi website, a compatible smart TV, mobile device, game console, or streaming player.
- U.S. availability: The Fox/Tubi arrangement was announced for viewers in the United States. Availability of live programming can vary by country and event.
Tubi generally describes its catalog as free and ad-supported, with no subscription fee or credit-card requirement. Live-event access can have additional account requirements, however; for Super Bowl LIX, the free account and sign-in requirement applied.
How the 2025 Tubi stream worked
- Create or open a Tubi account. Registration was free. If you already had an account, you needed to sign in before the event.
- Open Tubi on a supported device. You could use the Tubi website or the Tubi app on a compatible television, streaming device, phone, tablet, or console.
- Find the Super Bowl LIX event listing. The event was presented as live programming rather than an ordinary on-demand movie or show.
- Start the stream before kickoff. Tubi’s published schedule listed Fox pregame coverage at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, a Tubi red-carpet program at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, and the game at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on February 9, 2025.
- Stay signed in during viewing. Signing out, switching accounts, or encountering an app error could interrupt access.
Those times were listed in Eastern Time. Viewers in other U.S. time zones needed to convert them locally. The game stream was described as English-language coverage. Tubi directed Spanish-language viewers to Fox Deportes or Telemundo.

The exact app experience can differ by device model, operating-system version, and region. Installing the Tubi app ahead of a major live event is safer than trying to create an account, update an app, and begin playback at kickoff.
Was Tubi really free?
Yes, the Super Bowl LIX stream did not require a paid Tubi plan. The important distinction is that “free” did not mean “no account needed.” Tubi required a free registration and an active sign-in for this event.
The service was ad-supported, so viewers should have expected advertising as part of the broadcast. A free stream also depended on having a working internet connection and a supported device; it was not the same as receiving the game over the air through an antenna.

Could you watch the game later on Tubi?
No. The event-specific Tubi information said the stream was live-only and would not be retained as a replay after the event ended. That means searching Tubi now for a full Super Bowl LIX replay should not be expected to work.

- HDMI 2.1 cable required (sold separately)
- See movies and TV shows from all your services right from your home screen[2]; and find new things to watch with tailored recommendations for everyone in your home based on their interests and viewing habits
- Watch live TV and access over 800 free channels from Pluto TV, Tubi, and more[3]; if you find an interesting show or movie on your TV, mobile app, or Google search, you can easily add it to your watchlist, so it’s ready when you are[2]
- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
This is an important difference between a live sports simulcast and Tubi’s regular on-demand catalog. A movie or documentary may remain available for an extended period, while a sports broadcast can disappear when the live rights window closes.
What changed for Super Bowl LX?
Super Bowl LX took place on February 8, 2026. The NFL’s official viewing information identified NBC as the national television outlet and Peacock as the streaming service for that game.
That later arrangement confirms why the 2025 Tubi stream should not be treated as a standing annual right. Super Bowl distribution can change between games, and viewers should check the NFL’s current ways-to-watch page or an official broadcaster announcement before relying on an old guide.
What about an antenna?
An indoor TV antenna is a separate alternative for receiving a local over-the-air broadcast when the game is carried by a station in your area. It does not provide access to Tubi and cannot guarantee reception. Results depend on your location, distance from broadcast towers, buildings, terrain, antenna placement, and the local station lineup.
For that reason, an indoor TV antenna should be considered only as a separate free-broadcast option—not as an accessory for the Tubi stream.

Common problems with a major live stream
The Tubi app would not open
Check that the device is connected to the internet, update the Tubi app, restart the device, and confirm that you are using the correct account. If the device is not supported, the Tubi website or another listed platform may be the practical alternative.
The stream asked you to sign in
That was expected for Super Bowl LIX. The event required a free Tubi account, even though it did not require a paid subscription.

Live-stream quality can fall when the home connection is congested or the wireless signal is weak. If possible, move the streaming device closer to the router, use a wired connection, pause other high-bandwidth activity, and restart the app. These steps can improve playback, but they cannot guarantee a particular resolution or eliminate event-wide congestion.
You cannot find the Super Bowl listing now
That is expected. Super Bowl LIX was a live-only event and was not retained as a Tubi replay.

Bottom line
Tubi did show Super Bowl LIX for free on February 9, 2025, but viewers needed a free account, an active sign-in, and a supported internet-connected device. The stream was live-only and is no longer available. Super Bowl LX used NBC and Peacock in 2026, so future viewers should verify the current NFL and broadcaster announcements rather than assume Tubi remains the destination.
