The phrase “top Taiwanese pornstars” is therefore better treated as a search label than as an established category. A more accurate documentary approach is to examine notable Taiwanese adult performers through public media coverage, documented career milestones, and clearly dated evidence.
This overview separates recent or current public figures from historical performers. It does not reproduce explicit material, identify private information, or treat database popularity figures as objective rankings.
How to read this list
The people below were selected because reputable reporting has documented their public careers or media visibility. “Taiwanese” refers to performers identified as being from Taiwan or as Taiwanese by reliable sources; it does not automatically include foreign performers who worked in Taiwan or became popular there.
Adult-film databases can be useful for locating credits, but their biographies, view counts, and popularity lists are not equivalent to independently audited industry data. Career status is also marked cautiously because older biographies often remain online after a performer’s circumstances have changed.

Notable Taiwanese adult performers
| Performer | What is publicly documented | Status and caution |
|---|---|---|
| 吳夢夢 (Wu Mon-mon) | Featured in local reporting and a 2022 BBC News Chinese report about Taiwan’s adult-film industry. Taiwanese coverage has called her “Taiwan’s first AV actress,” but that is a media nickname rather than an independently verified official title. | Do not describe her as retired or currently active without a recent interview, verified account, or production announcement. |
| 魏喬安 (Wei Qiao-an) | Received substantial attention in 2023 after news coverage reported her admission to the Department of Anthropology at National Taiwan University. Interviews discussed adult-film work, autonomy, stigma, and education. | “Taiwan University AV actress” is a media description connected to the admission story. It does not establish graduation, academic performance, or current enrollment. |
| KUMI / 喬喬 | A Taiwanese newcomer publicly known by the stage name KUMI; Taiwanese coverage also uses 喬喬. A profile published in January 2026 described her as having less than a year in the local adult-film industry at that point and reported that her family knew about her work. | Her career is recent. There is no basis here for calling her one of Taiwan’s most popular performers. Do not confuse her with mainstream actress 曾之喬, who is also referred to as 喬喬. |
| Kobe Tai / Tai Kobe | A Taiwanese-born former performer whose career was mainly associated with the United States adult-film industry during the 1990s and early 2000s. | She belongs in a historical section, not a list of current stars. Frequently repeated biographical details are largely preserved by adult databases and should be independently checked before publication. |
吳夢夢: a widely reported Taiwanese case
吳夢夢 became one of the most visible Taiwanese performers in international and local reporting because her career was discussed as part of the island’s wider adult-film economy. The BBC’s 2022 coverage gave her experience a documentary context rather than presenting her simply as a name in a ranking.
One important point from the reporting is her warning to people considering the industry. She argued that expected earnings should not be the only consideration and pointed to possible long-term personal and professional consequences. That perspective is more useful than repeating unsupported claims about income, popularity, or the size of her filmography.
The phrase “Taiwan’s first AV actress,” used in some local coverage, should be quoted as a description used by the media. It should not be presented as a formally recognized record.
魏喬安: media attention beyond adult entertainment
魏喬安 drew public attention in 2023 when Taiwanese television and interview coverage reported her admission to National Taiwan University’s Department of Anthropology. The story became notable because it placed adult-film work, university education, and public stigma in the same news conversation.

Her interviews addressed personal autonomy and the way performers are judged outside the workplace. Those subjects make her story relevant to a documentary audience: the available reporting is not only about screen work, but also about identity, education, privacy, and how media labels can follow a person.
Descriptions such as “NTU AV actress” should be used carefully. They refer to the news angle surrounding her admission and do not prove that she graduated, remains enrolled, or achieved any particular academic result.
KUMI / 喬喬: a recent entrant
KUMI, also reported as 喬喬, is a newer name in Taiwanese adult-film coverage. A January 2026 profile described her as having entered the local industry less than a year earlier. The same report discussed her previous work and BDSM-related background and said that her family knew about her career.

Because the available evidence is recent, it is too early to convert media visibility into a claim of enduring popularity. Any future account of her career should use dated evidence—such as an official announcement, a documented interview, or a clearly identified platform metric—rather than an uncited “most popular” label.

Name confusion is a practical problem here. 喬喬 is also used in Taiwanese entertainment coverage for mainstream actress 曾之喬. Search results, photographs, and biographies should be checked against the correct stage name and source before publication.
Kobe Tai: a historical performer, not a current listing
Kobe Tai, also known as Tai Kobe, is generally described as Taiwanese-born and as having worked mainly in the American adult-film market in the 1990s and early 2000s. Her significance is historical: she is one of the better-known Taiwanese-born names associated with that earlier period of the U.S. industry.
Many commonly repeated details about her birth date, alternate names, career dates, and credits come from adult-database pages rather than authoritative biographies. Those details should be labeled as database information or omitted unless confirmed by stronger sources. Claims that she is producing new videos are inconsistent with biographies describing her as retired, so she should not be presented as a current performer.
Names that should not be added without stronger evidence
Shu Qi
Shu Qi is sometimes incorrectly included in lists of Taiwanese pornstars. Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture describes her earlier work as modeling and “dabbling in the adult film industry” before her mainstream acting career. That wording does not establish that she was a conventional pornographic-film performer, so using her as an example would mislead readers.
Foreign performers who worked in Taiwan
A performer’s appearance in a Taiwan-based production, attendance at a Taiwanese adult-industry event, or popularity among Taiwanese viewers does not establish Taiwanese nationality. Each person’s background must be verified individually.
Videos and pictures: what responsible coverage can publish
Public availability is not the same as permission to republish. A photograph or video may be protected by copyright, publicity rights, platform rules, or contractual restrictions even when it appears in search results.

- Keep captions factual. Do not infer current activity, relationships, nationality, or private identity from an image.
For a documentary-style article, linking to the BBC News Chinese report, Taiwanese news coverage, and authorized interviews is more defensible than creating a gallery of copied adult images.

Search results and adult websites often publish “top” lists, but these typically reflect that site’s traffic, affiliate strategy, editorial preference, or a changing view counter. A platform may also combine official uploads with community material, making comparisons especially difficult.

FAQ
Is there an official ranking of the top Taiwanese pornstars?
No. No authoritative industry ranking was identified. “Top” should be treated as a search phrase or an editorial category based on stated evidence, not as an objective ranking.
Who are some publicly documented Taiwanese adult performers?
Publicly documented examples include 吳夢夢 (Wu Mon-mon), 魏喬安 (Wei Qiao-an), KUMI / 喬喬, and historical performer Kobe Tai. Their evidence, dates, and career statuses are not identical and should not be presented as a single popularity ranking.
Is Shu Qi a Taiwanese pornstar?
That description is misleading. Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture says she modeled and “dabbled in the adult film industry” before becoming a mainstream actress; this does not establish that she was a conventional pornographic-film performer.
Can I reuse pictures or videos of these performers?
Not automatically. Copyright, publicity rights, privacy concerns, consent, and platform terms may restrict reuse. Prefer licensed press images, official promotional material, or links to authorized pages, and never republish leaked or pirated content.

A reliable account of notable Taiwanese adult performers should prioritize documented media coverage over an invented top-ten list. 吳夢夢 and 魏喬安 have substantial public reporting; KUMI / 喬喬 is a recent entrant whose long-term profile is still developing; and Kobe Tai is best understood as a historical Taiwanese-born performer associated mainly with the U.S. industry. Use dated sources, verify nationality and career status, and treat videos and pictures as rights-managed material rather than free-to-copy content.
