Last checked: August 16, 2026. This is a quality-first guide to Netflix US, not a copy of the daily Top 10. It mixes current releases, completed binges, documentaries, animation and dependable catalogue picks. Netflix availability, subtitles, ratings and episode counts can change by country, profile and date, so confirm the title page before pressing play.
If you only choose three: try Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for an inventive family film, My Life with the Walter Boys for a current teen binge, or Blue Eye Samurai for a finished, visually exceptional series.
Best films
1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Type: Film · Genre: Animated superhero adventure · Best for: Families with older children, animation fans and quick movie nights. Its bold visual language and warm coming-of-age story make it much more than a franchise exercise. Expect superhero violence and peril; younger viewers may find some scenes intense. English audio is excellent, with subtitles and dubs varying by device. Netflix listed it in the US Top 10 on August 15, 2026. Source.
2. Don’t Say Good Luck (2026)
Type: Film · Genre: Teen/family drama · Best for: An emotional, conversation-starting evening. This current Top 10 pick centres on friendship and a cancer storyline, so terminal illness is a central content warning. It is heartfelt rather than escapist; check the maturity label before family viewing. Tom’s Guide selected it as one of the worthwhile films in the August 15–16 US Top 10. Source.

The list weighs execution most heavily, then distinctiveness, reader usefulness and current relevance. Netflix’s Top 10 is a popularity signal, not a quality verdict; its US TV and movie pages are useful for spotting conversation, while editorial judgement decides what earns a place. Keeping the list current
Netflix changes licences, episode availability, ratings and language options by region. Recheck every title from a US account on publication day and whenever Netflix announces a major monthly refresh. Licensed films and series are most likely to disappear without much notice; Netflix Original branding does not guarantee permanent availability.
