What time was the Fortnite Remix: The Prelude event?
Fortnite’s Remix: The Prelude started at 6:30 PM ET on Friday, November 1, 2024. The date and time applied to the original live event, not to the current YouTube replay, which can be watched on demand. Regional times therefore depended on the viewer’s time zone.
Contemporary event guidance recommended entering Fortnite before 6:30 PM ET so the game had time to load the event space. Joining exactly at the start could leave too little time to reach Restored Reels or handle connection and matchmaking delays.
Where did players go in Fortnite for The Prelude?
Players watched The Prelude inside Fortnite at Restored Reels. The supported live route was to launch Fortnite, enter Battle Royale, and load into the event area rather than look for a separate purchase, ticket, or physical product.
Epic described the event as Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice taking over Times Square with a live music performance streamed through Fortnite. The New York setting connected real-world imagery with the Chapter 2 Remix launch. Epic’s Chapter 2 Remix announcement described the performers and the wider season launch.

| Viewing option | Availability | Access method | Experience | Current reliability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Original live broadcast | Ended November 1, 2024 | Fortnite Battle Royale at Restored Reels | Interactive in-game event | Unavailable as a live event |
| Official online replay | On demand | Fortnite’s official YouTube video | Passive video viewing | Clearest current option |
| In-game replay at Risky Reels | Announced for the near future in 2024 | Fortnite location mentioned by Epic | Potential in-game replay | Check current Fortnite availability; do not assume it remains active |
The official Fortnite replay is the most dependable route for someone trying to watch the performance today. Epic’s 2024 announcement said, “In case you missed the live broadcast, catch the full performance in-game at Risky Reels in the near future.” That was a historical availability statement, so it should not be treated as a guarantee that Risky Reels still hosts the replay in 2026. Epic’s Chapter 2 Remix notice contains that replay guidance.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Is Remix: The Prelude the same as Remix: The Finale?
No. Remix: The Prelude and Remix: The Finale were separate Fortnite events. The Prelude launched Chapter 2 Remix on November 1, 2024, with Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice, while The Finale was a separate Juice WRLD-focused in-game concert scheduled for November 30, 2024, at 2 PM ET.
| Event | Date and time | Main connection | Purpose or description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Remix: The Prelude | November 1, 2024, at 6:30 PM ET | Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice | Chapter 2 Remix launch performance |
| Remix: The Finale | November 30, 2024, at 2 PM ET | Juice WRLD | Separate concluding in-game concert |
Epic’s announcement for Remix: The Finale confirms that the later event had its own date, time, and Juice WRLD focus. Searching for The Finale will therefore lead to different event information than searching for The Prelude.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Did players need to buy anything to watch The Prelude?
No purchase was required for the supported viewing route described in the event guidance. Players watched The Prelude through Fortnite itself; a console, headset, gift card, Battle Pass, Fortnite Crew subscription, or streaming device may be useful in general, but none was specific or necessary for watching this event.
Epic also mentioned an adjacent Chapter 2 Remix progression detail: according to Epic Games in 2024, players could earn 140,000 XP in any Fortnite experience before November 11 to unlock the Midas-inspired Golden Scythe Pickaxe. The XP objective was not a requirement for watching Remix: The Prelude.

What is the best way to watch it now?
Choose the official YouTube replay if the goal is simply to see the Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice performance. Check Fortnite’s current in-game event locations only as a secondary possibility, because the Risky Reels replay was described in a 2024 announcement as something that would arrive “in the near future,” not as a permanent feature.
- Open the official Fortnite Remix: The Prelude replay.
- Confirm that the video title identifies the Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice New York City show.
- If you prefer an in-game viewing experience, launch Fortnite and check whether the replay is currently available at Risky Reels; availability may have changed since the original announcement.
