You can use it to send a live feed to YouTube, but the documented Larix setup does not show how to select and continuously play local video files. For a true 24/7 prerecorded playlist, you need a separate, verified playout method. What Larix can—and cannot—do for this workflow
Softvelum describes Larix Broadcaster for Android as an app for live capture and streaming, with RTMP publishing and RTMPS support. Its reviewed product and documentation pages do not establish a feature for choosing a local prerecorded-video playlist and looping it continuously. That means Larix’s YouTube connection instructions are not, by themselves, a complete method for streaming a video playlist 24/7.
The missing piece is a playout source that continuously emits your prerecorded videos as a live feed. Do not assume that a video file or playlist can be selected inside Larix, or that an encoder connection alone will repeat it. If you use another playout app or service, verify its current YouTube Live support, playlist looping, recovery after interruptions, monitoring, rights requirements, and operating price before relying on it.
Connect a live feed from Larix to YouTube
The following steps set up the verified encoder connection. They do not add the missing prerecorded-playlist playout function.

- Confirm YouTube live-stream access. YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming well before you plan to test. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Create or select a stream in Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and use the stream settings to obtain the server URL and stream key. YouTube describes the key as a credential that directs an encoder’s feed to your stream; keep it private and reset it if you believe it has been exposed. See Manage live stream settings and Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Enter the YouTube connection in Larix. Use the server URL and stream key issued for your stream, following the connection format in Softvelum’s Larix documentation. Do not reuse sample credentials from a help page or share your key.
- Prefer RTMPS when available and correctly configured. RTMPS is RTMP carried over TLS/SSL. YouTube instructs users to reveal and copy the RTMPS URL in Live Control Room, then enter it with the stream key in the encoder. See Encrypt your stream using RTMPS. Larix Android supports RTMPS.
- Test and monitor the feed. Start with a test stream, check YouTube’s preview, and monitor audio and video while it is live. YouTube recommends testing and continuous monitoring in its live-streaming tips. A successful encoder connection confirms that a feed is reaching YouTube; it does not confirm that prerecorded files are looping.
Plan for a 24/7 broadcast and its archive
Do not treat a continuous 24-hour session as a guaranteed single YouTube archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; the cited guidance does not establish that one 24/7 session will be saved as one video. If preserving an archive matters, plan around YouTube’s documented duration guidance and confirm the relevant settings in Live Control Room before broadcasting.
For prerecorded content, confirm that you have the rights to stream every video and its audio. A technical ability to send a feed does not establish permission to rebroadcast it. Review YouTube’s current policies and restrictions for your channel and content before leaving a stream running.
