Fan sites can fill gaps when you want a particular Pokémon, generation, game, TCG set or visual style. Download and set a wallpaper
iPhone or iPad
- Open the official or clearly identified source page.
- Tap the full-resolution image or download control, not the thumbnail.
- Save it to Photos or Files.
- In Photos, tap Share and choose the wallpaper option.
- Adjust the crop so faces, logos and important text are clear of the clock and widgets.
Android
- Open the original image in your browser.

- Open it in Gallery or Google Photos.
- Choose Set as wallpaper, then select home screen, lock screen or both.

Virtual meeting backgrounds

Why a downloaded wallpaper looks blurry
- You saved a thumbnail or compressed preview instead of the original.
- The file is smaller than your display and has been enlarged.
- Your phone applied automatic zoom or crop.
- A portrait image was forced into a landscape screen, or vice versa.
- A messaging or social platform recompressed the file.
Open the image itself, look for “full size,” “original” or “download,” and avoid screenshots when an original file exists. Choose Fit or Center instead of Stretch. Select artwork with extra space around the subject when your device crops aggressively.
Free to download does not mean free to reuse
Pokémon artwork remains protected intellectual property. Pokémon Center terms limit downloadable materials to specified personal purposes and prohibit modification, transfer, adaptation, lending, secondary use and commercial use. Pokémon Support says it cannot review requests to use Pokémon intellectual property in outside projects and asks users not to use Pokémon intellectual property in or associated with such projects: Pokémon Support guidance.

Lock-screen and home-screen cropping
The clock, notification icons, widgets, parallax effects and dynamic wallpaper behavior can cover important artwork. Keep faces and text near the center, choose images with empty space near the top, and test the preview before applying. A separate, simpler home-screen image may work better than using one detailed illustration for both screens.

- Prefer a direct JPG or PNG over a “download manager.”
- Do not open an .exe, .apk or .dmg when you only need an image.
- Reject notification, extension and account prompts for a simple wallpaper.
