- Is a GST tax invoice issued for the subscription and for every renewal or payment?
- Can you enter your business legal name, billing address and GSTIN before paying, and will the GSTIN appear on the invoice?
- What supplier legal name and GSTIN will appear?
- What tax breakup will apply to your billing location—CGST and SGST, or IGST?
- Can the provider show a sample invoice or explain how to download the final one after payment?
Provider terms and checkout treatment can change. Recheck the current pricing page and billing flow rather than relying on an old invoice or price quote.
How to check the invoice itself
CBIC rules prescribe particulars for a registered supplier’s tax invoice. Relevant fields include the supplier’s name, address and GSTIN; a unique serial number and issue date; recipient details, including GSTIN/UIN if registered; a description of the service; taxable value; tax rate and amount; and applicable place-of-supply and other details. Use these as a document-checking guide, not as a conclusion about whether a particular buyer can claim input tax credit.

When you receive the invoice, check that the supplier identity and tax details match what the provider told you, and that the recipient name and GSTIN are correct. If anything is missing or inaccurate, ask the provider to correct it before relying on the document for your business records.
Do not apply Google’s GST guidance to a third-party streaming service
Google Payments Center Help discusses purchases from Google, not subscriptions from independent streaming providers. For Google purchases, it describes 9% CGST plus 9% SGST when bill-to and bill-from states match, or 18% IGST otherwise, and says the matching GSTIN appears on its invoices. Those instructions do not establish how a third-party streaming provider will invoice you; ask that provider directly.
