A U.S. availability check dated September 25, 2026 found no free streaming option for that exact concert. Availability can change, so check the official Prince channel and your local listings before choosing another version.
Which Prince concert is this?
The title refers to Prince and the Revolution: Live, filmed at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York, on March 30, 1985, during the Purple Rain Tour. The Prince Estate’s announcement names Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Dr. Fink, Mark Brown, Eric Leeds and Bobby Z among the performers, and lists a 20-song set. It opens with “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Delirious” and “1999,” and closes with “Purple Rain.” The Estate and Rhino’s announcement provides the set list and event details.
Was the full concert ever free to watch?
Yes. Prince’s official YouTube channel streamed the complete concert for three days in May 2020 as part of a fundraiser for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Rhino announced that the stream would end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020. That was a limited event, not a standing promise of free access.
Where can you watch it now?
A U.S. JustWatch availability check dated September 25, 2026 found no free streaming option for Prince and the Revolution: Live. That is a dated U.S. snapshot, not a worldwide or permanent availability guarantee. Check the exact title in your region’s current listings and on Prince’s official YouTube channel before assuming it is unavailable or free.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For a physical-release route, the concert was originally issued on VHS and LaserDisc in 1985, and a DVD was included in the 2017 Purple Rain Remastered & Deluxe Edition. Rhino says the 2020 audio remaster was handled by Prince mastering engineer Bernie Grundman. The official Prince channel’s later release material also refers to a 2022 edition with Blu-ray among its formats; check the specific edition and contents before buying. Rhino’s release announcement and the official Prince channel’s Syracuse performance listing provide those release references.
How to find other legitimate Prince concert films
In April 2020, Legacy Recordings announced that multiple full concerts were available on Prince’s official YouTube channel and linked a curated Prince Live Video Playlist. Treat it as a place to discover other performances, not proof that the Syracuse concert is currently there in full; confirm the video title and duration.
