Don’t confuse it with Teutul Jr.’s other 1939 Zephyr
Paul Teutul Jr. was also associated with a separate, stock black 1939 Lincoln-Zephyr three-window coupe. It is not the custom blue car offered at Barrett-Jackson. RM Sotheby’s identifies the stock car as chassis H 71701 and reports that it sold for $77,280 at its Arizona 2025 auction. That result belongs to the stock car, not the custom Zephyr. The distinction matters because older coverage of the stock car can create the impression that its estimate or sale result applies to Teutul Jr.’s custom build. It does not. An earlier RM Sotheby’s listing gave a $140,000–$180,000 estimate for the stock Zephyr at Amelia Island in 2020; that estimate was likewise not a valuation of the custom blue coupe.
