No. A YouTube playlist can organize bhajan videos and repeat them for someone watching, but it does not send a live broadcast from your channel. For a 24/7 bhajan stream, you need a live video feed and a setup that sends it to YouTube Live—such as an encoder running on a computer, dedicated encoding equipment, or a cloud service.
Why a playlist is not a live stream
YouTube describes a playlist as a collection of videos. Its Loop control repeats playlist playback for a viewer; it does not transmit a continuous feed from your channel to the Live Control Room. In other words, looping what you watch and broadcasting a live stream are separate things.
Autoplay is also a viewer-side feature: when enabled, YouTube plays another related video after one ends. It is not a channel broadcast or a dependable 24/7 automation method. YouTube says autoplay can stop after 30 minutes of inactivity on a mobile network or four hours on Wi-Fi. Those limits concern playback inactivity, not livestream duration. What a 24/7 bhajan broadcast needs
A live broadcast requires a source that sends video and audio to YouTube. YouTube’s encoder guidance says to connect the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in an encoder, configure the encoder, and start sending the feed. As YouTube Help puts it, “An encoder converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube.” An encoder can be software on a computer or a standalone hardware device.

For a devotional channel, that feed might be a prepared sequence of bhajan recordings and visuals. The key distinction is that the playlist alone does not originate or send that feed. You also need a plan for power and internet continuity, checking whether the stream is still working, and restoring it if it stops.
DIY: send a bhajan feed through an encoder
- Prepare the material. Decide which recordings and visuals will be in the broadcast and confirm you have the rights needed to use them. A YouTube playlist can help organize videos, but it is not the encoder feed.
- Open YouTube Live Control Room. Set up a live stream and locate its server URL and stream key. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Configure an encoder. In your software or hardware encoder’s stream settings, enter the YouTube server URL and stream key, then select the prepared audio and video source. Follow the encoder’s current compatibility and configuration guidance; settings vary by encoder and source.
- Start the outgoing feed and check the preview. Confirm that the Live Control Room receives the signal and that both audio and video look and sound right before relying on the broadcast.
- Monitor and plan recovery. YouTube recommends monitoring stream quality and preparing for issues. Decide who will notice a frozen or ended feed and how they will restart or restore it. Test reconnection or failover where your setup supports it.
YouTube’s documentation says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That is an archiving statement, not a promise that one stream can remain uninterrupted indefinitely or a stated maximum duration. Choose a setup you can operate reliably
- Software encoder on a computer: You manage the software, computer, power and internet connection. Consider what happens after a restart, network interruption or encoder failure.
- Standalone hardware encoder: This avoids relying on a general-purpose computer for encoding, but still needs a suitable source, stable power and internet, and an operator or recovery plan.
- Cloud service: A cloud setup can keep the feed running without leaving a home computer on. Check that the service supports your intended YouTube workflow, content format and monitoring needs.
There is no universally best choice in YouTube’s guidance. Compare the upkeep you can handle, how recovery works, who monitors the broadcast, and whether the actual bhajan audio and visuals pass a preview test.

Bhajan copyright and channel suitability
Before broadcasting, verify that you have permission for every recording, composition, performance and visual you use. A devotional subject does not by itself establish that a recording is free to use. YouTube’s copyright and monetization policies can affect a live stream and the channel; review the current rules and keep records of licenses or other permissions. Repeating material also does not guarantee that a channel will qualify for monetization: assess the content against YouTube’s current reused-content policy rather than assuming a loop is sufficient.
Useful starting points include YouTube’s copyright guidance and YouTube’s channel monetization policies. These rules and live-stream requirements can change, so check the current pages when preparing a broadcast.

Common problems and what to check
- Your playlist repeats only for you: That is viewer-side playlist looping. Set up a live feed through an encoder or another supported live workflow to broadcast from your channel.
- The Live Control Room shows no incoming video: Check that the encoder is running, the server URL and stream key are correct, and the intended source is selected.
- The stream starts but audio or visuals are wrong: Inspect the encoder’s selected inputs and review the Live Control Room preview before continuing.
- The broadcast stops unexpectedly: Check the encoder, power and internet connection, then follow your restart or recovery plan. YouTube recommends ongoing monitoring; do not assume an unattended stream cannot fail.
- Autoplay stops: Autoplay is for a viewer’s playback, not a continuous channel broadcast, and can stop after inactivity depending on network conditions.
- A stream archive is missing or differs from expectations: YouTube documents automatic archiving for streams shorter than 12 hours. Do not treat that statement as a guarantee about longer streams or uninterrupted uptime.
