How to watch the final now
The live broadcast window has ended, so a live-TV subscription is not necessary just to find the completed game. Start with these official sources:
- NBA game page for the result, box score and game information.
- NBA Full Focus for an official video recap.
- NBA’s official YouTube highlights for game footage and key moments.
Replay availability can change. If an archived full-game replay is offered by an authorized rights holder, use that listing rather than an unofficial stream.

What the original livestream required
In the United States, the 2024 NBA Cup Final aired nationally on ABC. Viewers could watch through a local ABC affiliate, either with an antenna or through a live-TV streaming service that carried the affiliate in their ZIP code.
Contemporary viewing guides listed services including Fubo, Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV STREAM. Availability depended on the viewer’s market and the package in effect at the time. Historical free-trial promotions should not be treated as current offers.
ESPN also carried digital event listings, including an ESPN event page and an ESPN+ listing. Those pages could require an eligible subscription or TV-provider authentication. An ESPN+ subscription alone should not be assumed to guarantee access to every ABC simulcast.

Would NBA League Pass have worked?
Do not treat NBA League Pass as a replacement for the ABC broadcast. Nationally televised games can be subject to separate network and regional rights, and League Pass availability varies by territory and edition. For this final, the relevant U.S. route was access to ABC or an authorized ESPN-related stream, not simply an NBA League Pass subscription.
International viewers should not copy the U.S. instructions. Broadcast rights differ by country, so check the NBA’s regional viewing information or the local rights holder.
Free legal viewing options
- Over-the-air antenna: A viewer in range of a local ABC affiliate could watch the original broadcast without a recurring streaming subscription.
- Eligible provider trial: Some live-TV services promoted free trials in 2024, but eligibility, billing rules and local-channel carriage change over time.
- Existing TV or internet bundle: Some households may already have ABC access through an authenticated provider account.
There is no universal, guaranteed free stream. Avoid unofficial livestreams and social-media links, which may be unstable, infringing or unsafe.

ABC is missing from the service
- Enter your ZIP code in the provider’s local-channel availability checker.
- Confirm that the service carries your specific ABC affiliate, not merely ABC in some markets.
- Try the affiliate’s authorized website or app if it supports provider authentication.
- Use an antenna if local reception is strong enough.
ESPN asks for a TV-provider login
This usually means the event requires authenticated access. An ESPN+ subscription and an ESPN TV-provider login are not necessarily interchangeable. Check the event’s access label and use credentials from a participating provider.

The old event page will not play video
That is normal for a completed event. An event page may remain online after its live player expires. Use the NBA game page, official recap or official highlights instead.
The app shows a regional-rights error
Disable VPN or proxy services, confirm your location and restart the app. Update the app, sign in again and try the provider’s web player if the smart-TV application fails. Changing devices will not remove a genuine rights restriction.
Result
Spoiler: Milwaukee defeated Oklahoma City 97–81. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 26 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists, and was named tournament MVP. The Bucks made 17 three-pointers. Full statistics are available on the NBA’s official game page.
