There is no independently verified “best” Indian VPS for a 24/7 YouTube music stream. The right choice depends on whether the server must encode your video, merely relay an already encoded feed, or transcode it—and on continuous-traffic terms, recovery, support, and renewal cost. For a single prerecorded loop, compare providers on that exact workload rather than treating advertised specifications or uptime as proof of performance. If you prefer not to operate a server, StreamNeo is a managed YouTube-only alternative that runs uploaded videos from the cloud.
Start by deciding what the VPS has to do
“Streaming from a VPS” can mean three different workloads. They need different resources, so a plan suited to one should not be assumed to suit another.
Relay an already encoded stream
A relay forwards a feed that has already been encoded elsewhere. It does not create a new video stream or change its resolution. This is generally the lightest VPS workload, though the server still needs a continuous route to YouTube and enough sustained network capacity.
Encode files into a live feed
An encoder reads your media files and generates the video and audio sent to YouTube. CPU needs depend on the encoding settings and whether the video is encoded in software or with an available hardware encoder. Confirm the actual encoding workload before buying a small plan.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Transcode or send to multiple destinations
Transcoding changes a feed’s codec, resolution, or bitrate; sending multiple independently encoded outputs can also raise resource use. These tasks may need more CPU and memory than a single pre-encoded relay. Ask the provider what its plan supports rather than inferring capacity from a vCPU label.
Indian VPS options: advertised plans, not a verified ranking
The available provider details are useful starting points, not independent tests of continuous streaming, YouTube routes, or uptime. Prices and specifications can change; verify the current plan and contract before ordering.

| Provider | Published details | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Inservers | Its streaming VPS page advertises a plan starting at ₹880/month with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage, and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. The next listed plan starts at ₹1,800/month with 4 vCores, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe, and the same advertised uplink. The page describes New Delhi hosting and Nginx RTMP relay. | The provider says its entry plan is sufficient for a single 1080p60 relay without transcoding, and recommends higher plans for multi-destination relay or transcoding. That is a provider claim, not an independently verified performance result. Confirm what “unmetered” means in the contract. |
| NivoHost | The provider markets YouTube streaming RDP/VPS plans from ₹699/month. Its advertised entry plan includes one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, and 20 TB of bandwidth; the page also identifies Jaipur, Rajasthan. | The page advertises 99% uptime and automatic restart. These are vendor statements, not independently measured uptime or proof that a YouTube session will resume after interruption. Prices, tiers, and promotions may change. |
Neither listing establishes which provider will perform best for your channel or location. A server in India may be convenient to manage, but its physical location alone does not guarantee a better route to YouTube’s ingest servers.
How to choose a VPS for a continuous YouTube stream
- Describe the workload precisely. Tell the provider whether the server will relay a pre-encoded feed, encode a prerecorded loop, transcode, or serve multiple destinations. Ask which plan it claims can handle that use.
- Verify location and routing. Confirm the actual data-center city and ask about the route to YouTube ingest. Consider where you will administer the server, but do not treat an India data-center label as a route-quality guarantee.
- Read the sustained-network terms. Check monthly transfer limits, fair-use rules, sustained throughput, overage fees, and whether continuous media streaming is allowed. “1 Gbps” describes an advertised port speed, not necessarily the throughput you will sustain; “unmetered” should be checked against the provider’s written terms.
- Match compute and storage to the job. Account for encoding or transcoding, the number of outputs, and the size of your local media library. Shared vCPU specifications do not, by themselves, tell you what compute will be available under sustained load.
- Get specific about recovery. Ask what happens when the streaming process exits or the connection drops: does a process restart automatically, must you recreate the YouTube session, what monitoring is included, and what support response is promised? A restarted process does not guarantee continuity of the same YouTube live session.
- Compare total recurring cost. Check the renewal price, taxes, backups or extra storage, traffic charges, setup work, and the cost to you of downtime—not just the introductory monthly figure.
- Confirm administration and support. Find out what operating system and streaming software are supported, who patches and monitors the VPS, and what help is included. A VPS gives you more control but leaves configuration and ongoing operations with you.
Set the encoder for YouTube, not for a guessed bandwidth target
YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance recommends RTMP or RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Supported video codecs listed in the guidance include H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1, with up to 60 fps. For audio, YouTube lists AAC or MP3 and recommends 128 kbps for stereo.

H.264 bitrate examples from YouTube
| Output | Minimum video bitrate | Recommended video bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
| 720p at 30 or 60 fps | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s H.264 ingest recommendations, not a promise that a VPS can sustain the required upload rate. Use YouTube’s current bitrate table for the chosen codec, resolution, and frame rate; do not apply the H.264 figures indiscriminately to other codecs.
Test the actual stream
Before relying on a continuous stream, test with the same encoder, resolution, frame rate, audio, and network path you intend to use. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring stream health in Live Control Room. A clean test is more informative than the provider’s headline port speed, but it still does not establish long-term uptime.

Plan for sessions, archives, and rights
A 24/7 broadcast is not automatically a complete archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a recording, plan how to preserve the source independently and how you will handle session boundaries; do not assume one uninterrupted session will produce a complete YouTube archive. See YouTube’s live stream archive guidance.
Make sure you have the rights to the music and visuals
Before looping a recording, confirm that you have the necessary rights or permissions for the music, artwork, and any other material. A VPS or managed streaming service does not grant content rights or prevent copyright claims. YouTube policies and enforcement can affect whether a stream remains available, so review the applicable terms and use material you are authorized to broadcast.

Costs and operational trade-offs
A VPS monthly price is only one part of the cost. Include backups, storage, possible transfer or overage charges, configuration time, monitoring, and recovery work. If the plan’s continuous-streaming terms are unclear, ask for clarification before committing. The government’s National Informatics Centre specifies 2–4 Mbps dedicated bandwidth per stream for its particular hired-agency webcast workflow and requires outbound RTMP port 1935 access; that is a context-specific government requirement, not a universal YouTube VPS bandwidth rule. See NIC’s webcast service page.
Or let it run in the cloud
If maintaining a VPS and encoder is more work than you want, StreamNeo is a managed option for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on YouTube. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; StreamNeo loops it from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers, and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a VPS advertised as “unmetered” guarantee enough bandwidth for 24/7 streaming?
No. Check the provider’s written fair-use and sustained-throughput terms; an advertised port speed is not a throughput guarantee.
Does an India-based server guarantee lower latency to YouTube?
No. The data-center location alone does not establish the route quality to YouTube ingest.
