Bell Media increased the price of its direct TSN streaming subscription on April 14, 2026. The monthly plan rose from $24.99 to $29.99, the annual plan from $199.90 to $249.99, and the Crave Premium with TSN bundle from $32.99 to $37.99. All prices are in Canadian dollars and generally exclude tax.
Although some coverage describes the change as a “TSN+” price increase, the reported prices appear to apply to the broader direct TSN streaming subscription. Check the exact product name and included programming at checkout before subscribing.
TSN price increase at a glance
| Product | Previous price | New price | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly TSN subscription | $24.99/month | $29.99/month | $5/month, about 20% |
| Annual TSN subscription | $199.90/year | $249.99/year | $50.09/year, about 25% |
| Crave Premium + TSN | $32.99/month | $37.99/month | $5/month, about 15% |
The increase took effect on April 14, 2026. Existing subscribers should normally see the new rate when their current monthly billing period or annual term renews, but the precise timing depends on the billing channel and plan. Check the renewal notice, account page or bill rather than assuming the charge changes immediately.
MobileSyrup reported the new rates, with the main changes also reported independently by iPhone in Canada.

TSN or TSN+? The name matters
The headline “TSN+ price increase” can be misleading. The $29.99 monthly and $249.99 annual prices reported in April appear to refer to the full direct TSN streaming subscription, not necessarily a separate digital-only TSN+ add-on.
That distinction is important because a full TSN subscription may provide access to TSN1 through TSN5 and related live programming, while a narrower TSN+ product may focus on additional digital sports content. Product names, included events and availability can change, so confirm what the checkout page actually says before paying.
A direct TSN subscription also does not guarantee every major Canadian sports event. Rights are divided among TSN, Sportsnet, CBC, Prime Video and other broadcasters. Regional restrictions, blackouts and provider authentication can also affect a particular game or team.

Reported Disney+, Crave and TSN bundle prices
Bell Media launched Disney+, Crave and TSN bundles in Canada on August 27, 2025. The following prices were reported around the April 2026 increase:
| Bundle | Reported monthly price |
|---|---|
| Disney+ Standard with Ads + Crave Standard with Ads + TSN | $31.99 |
| Disney+ Premium + Crave Premium + TSN | $41.75 |
| Disney+ Standard with Ads + TSN | $28.99 |
| Disney+ Standard + TSN | $35.99 |
| Disney+ Premium + TSN | $36.99 |
These are a pricing snapshot, not a guarantee of the current checkout price. Bell says subscription prices can change without notice. Compare equivalent tiers: an ad-supported Disney+ or Crave plan should not be compared with an ad-free Premium plan.
Bell’s current streaming page also indicates that eligibility and availability can depend on having Bell Internet, Mobility, TV or Home Phone service, or purchasing an eligible Bell service. These bundles are therefore not necessarily available to every Canadian as a standalone purchase.

Is the annual TSN plan worth it?
At $249.99 per year, the annual plan works out to approximately $20.83 per month. Paying $29.99 monthly for 12 months would cost $359.88 before tax, so the annual plan is cheaper for someone who expects to use TSN for most of the year.
The break-even point is about 8.34 months. In practical terms, the annual plan generally makes financial sense from nine months of use onward, assuming no promotional pricing or different cancellation terms. A seasonal viewer who needs TSN for only a few months may spend less by subscribing monthly during hockey, football, golf or tournament periods and cancelling afterward.
When a bundle makes sense
- Choose direct TSN if you mainly want sports and do not need Crave or Disney+.
- Choose annual TSN if you expect at least nine months of use and value the lower effective monthly cost.
- Choose Crave Premium + TSN if your household already regularly uses both services.
- Choose a Disney+ / Crave / TSN bundle if you want all three services and the exact tiers provide better value than your current separate subscriptions.
- Avoid bundling if you use entertainment services sporadically, have a valuable grandfathered plan, or frequently pause and rotate subscriptions.
A bundle can reduce the number of bills, but it may also make cancellations, upgrades and downgrades less flexible. A price that looks cheaper can lose its advantage if it replaces a discounted legacy subscription or includes services you rarely watch.

What existing subscribers should check
- Find out who bills you: TSN, Bell, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku or a cable or satellite provider.
- Check your renewal date and whether a promotion or credit is expiring.
- Confirm whether your current plan is TSN, TSN+, a TV-provider subscription or a bundle.
- Search bank statements and email for an existing Crave or TSN subscription before activating a new bundle.
- Check the exact channels, events, regional restrictions and device limits included.
The billing company controls the renewal date, cancellation route, refund policy and account-linking process. Someone who already receives TSN through cable, satellite or another television provider may already have streaming access through authentication and should check before buying a second subscription.
Bell says customers moving from a TV-provider subscription can link their TSN or RDS account to a Bell Media account to preserve viewing history, but existing subscriptions are not automatically transferred or paused. Duplicate billing is possible if an old subscription remains active after a new Bell bundle is activated.

Bell says upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades and lateral bundle changes take effect at the next scheduled renewal. Cancelling does not normally produce a refund for the current period; access continues until the applicable renewal or end date. See Bell’s subscription-management instructions before making a change.
If the charge comes from Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku or a television provider, cancellation must generally be handled through that company instead. Contacting the app developer may not resolve a billing dispute handled by a different provider.
Alternatives and rights considerations
A traditional cable, satellite or telecom package may be more practical for a household that already needs internet, several sports networks and general television. Bell also distributes selected bundles through Prime Video Channels, while TELUS offers larger Optik TV packages that combine television and sports services. These are not direct equivalents to a streaming-only TSN plan and may involve hardware, installation, contracts or a larger overall bill.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Sportsnet may be necessary for rights not held by TSN, and Prime Video or CBC may carry other specific events. The right comparison is therefore event-specific: identify the league, team or tournament you want, then confirm which service carries it in your region. No single TSN plan replaces every Canadian sports service.
Bell’s bundle announcements are available through its Disney+, Crave and TSN launch release, its earlier Crave and TSN bundle announcement, and its Prime Video availability announcement.
Bottom line
The direct TSN subscription now costs $29.99 monthly or $249.99 annually, while Crave Premium with TSN costs $37.99 per month. The annual plan is the better rate for sustained use of roughly nine months or more. The Crave or Disney+ bundles are most defensible when the household already wants those services at the specific included tiers. Sports-only and seasonal viewers should confirm the exact product, event rights and billing company before subscribing, and should avoid paying twice for access they already receive through a television provider.
