Launched on August 15, 2024, the collection introduced three neutral colorways: Moon, Dune and Earth. The headphones retained the standard Beats Studio Pro platform, including active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, USB-C lossless audio and up to 40 hours of battery life with noise control disabled.
What Beats and Kim Kardashian released
The collaboration was a “Beats x Kim” collection of over-ear Beats Studio Pro headphones. Beats described the three shades as its “Kim colors” in the official launch video.
The release followed Kardashian’s earlier 2022 collaboration with Beats Fit Pro earbuds. Unlike a replacement model or a hardware revision, the Studio Pro collaboration was primarily a color and presentation partnership built around the existing headphones.
The three colors
- Moon: the lightest of the three neutral shades.
- Dune: a warmer beige or sand-like color.
- Earth: the darkest, brown-toned neutral.
“Cream,” “beige” and “brown” are approximate visual descriptions rather than the official product names. Lighting, photography and display settings can also make the finishes look different. The official names are Moon, Dune and Earth.

What is different from the regular Studio Pro?
The available specifications match the standard Beats Studio Pro. There is no established evidence that the Kim edition introduced different drivers, a new ANC system, exclusive software or a redesigned wireless platform. Its meaningful differences are the neutral finishes and collaboration branding.
That makes the buying decision fairly straightforward: choose the Kim edition for its appearance and identity, not because it is expected to sound better, block more noise or last longer than another Studio Pro in the same generation.

Beats Studio Pro features
The underlying headphones include:
- Fully adaptive Active Noise Cancellation.
- Transparency mode for hearing surrounding sounds.
- Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking.
- Custom 40mm active drivers.
- Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity.
- USB-C audio with lossless playback.
- A 3.5mm analog input for wired listening.
- Apple and Android compatibility, including one-touch pairing and Find My support where supported.
- Over-ear UltraPlush cushions.
USB-C audio also provides three sound profiles—Beats Signature, Entertainment and Conversation—according to the Beats support documentation. Lossless playback requires a USB-C wired connection; it should not be confused with lossless Bluetooth audio.
Battery life
Beats rates the Studio Pro for up to 40 hours with ANC and Transparency mode turned off. With either ANC or Transparency enabled, the estimate falls to up to 24 hours. A 10-minute charge can provide up to four hours of playback through the Fast Fuel feature. These are manufacturer estimates and vary with volume, settings and usage.

Beats lists the USB-C power adapter separately, so the included USB-C cable should not be taken to mean that a wall charger is included. Contemporary coverage indicated coordinated presentation for the Kim collection, but box details can vary by market and listing; verify the contents of the specific product being purchased.

The U.S. and Japanese prices are separate regional figures, not interchangeable currency conversions. The original U.S. price was the same list price Beats gave for the regular Studio Pro at its 2023 launch. Current prices for Moon, Dune and Earth may differ because of discounts, clearance inventory or resale scarcity.

Where to look for the Kim colors
Start with the official Beats product collection and Apple’s Beats shopping pages, then check authorized retailers. The current standard Studio Pro page confirms the regular product and its list price, but it does not prove that all three Kim colors remain in stock.
A retailer may label the product “Beats x Kim,” “Kim Kardashian edition,” or simply list Moon, Dune or Earth without prominently mentioning the collaboration. Availability should therefore be tied to a specific retailer, country and date—not described generally as “available now.”

Should you buy the Kim edition?
Choose it when:
- You specifically want a minimalist neutral finish.
- You want the Studio Pro feature set and find a Kim color at or near the regular price.
- You prefer over-ear headphones with both wireless and wired listening options.
- The listing is new, authentic and covered by a credible warranty and return policy.
Choose the regular Studio Pro when:
- A standard color is substantially cheaper.
- The Kim color you want is unavailable.
- You do not value the collaboration or its color palette.
- You want the simplest official-retailer purchase and return experience.
Color alone generally should not justify a large premium. The Kim edition is also much larger than Beats Fit Pro earbuds, so buyers comparing the two collaborations should remember that one is an over-ear headphone and the other is an in-ear design.
Buying checklist for older or marketplace listings
- Confirm that the product is Beats Studio Pro, not Beats Studio3 Wireless or Beats Solo 4.
- Check that the color is explicitly named Moon, Dune or Earth.
- Verify whether the item is new, open-box or refurbished.
- Review the seller, warranty coverage and return policy.
- Confirm that the photos match the advertised color and that the case and cables are included.
- Be cautious of neutral finishes showing makeup, oils, dirt or discoloration more visibly than darker colors.
Marketplace prices can exceed the original MSRP when a color becomes difficult to find, but a premium does not indicate better audio or noise cancellation. It may simply reflect limited remaining stock.
The bottom line on the collaboration
The Beats x Kim Kardashian Studio Pro collection was a real August 15, 2024 release in Moon, Dune and Earth. It is best understood as a style-focused special edition of the existing Beats Studio Pro, not a technically upgraded model. Buy it when the neutral color matters and the price is reasonable; otherwise, a regular Studio Pro offers the same core platform with a more predictable supply and often better pricing.
