Apple TV+ won 22 awards across the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, including the Creative Arts ceremonies: 13 for The Studio, eight for Severance and one for Slow Horses. The result was led by The Studio setting a freshman-comedy record and Severance winning major acting and craft awards. It was a huge night for Apple—but not a sweep: The Pitt took Outstanding Drama Series.
How Apple’s Emmy total is counted
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards’ televised ceremony took place on September 14, 2025, following the Creative Arts Emmys on September 6 and 7. The title totals below combine wins from both sets of ceremonies; the televised-night tally is smaller. That distinction explains why reports may give different numbers for the same show. The Studio set a first-season comedy mark
The Studio took 13 Emmys in its debut season, more than any other series at the 77th awards. Its four wins at the main ceremony were the most visible: Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Seth Rogen, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The other nine came at the Creative Arts Emmys, across guest acting and production categories. Bryan Cranston won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series; the program also won for production design, casting, cinematography, contemporary costumes, picture editing, music supervision, sound editing and sound mixing. The awards recognized work beyond the performances and writing that tend to dominate the headlines.

The 13-win season surpassed The Bear’s previous mark of 11 Emmys for a comedy series in one season. Apple described The Studio as the most-winning freshman comedy in Emmy history; the Television Academy likewise reported the freshman-comedy record. The claim is specifically about a comedy’s first season, not a blanket record for every comedy program or every Emmy category.
Severance won eight, including three acting awards
Severance entered the awards with 27 nominations, more than any other series. It finished with eight wins: two at the televised ceremony and six at Creative Arts. Britt Lower won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and Tramell Tillman won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Merritt Wever added Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series at Creative Arts.
Tillman’s victory was a milestone: the Television Academy noted that he became the first Black man to win Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The series’ five other wins recognized production design, cinematography, original dramatic score, sound mixing and title design.
Eight awards made Severance the year’s most-winning drama by total Emmy wins. That description does not mean it won the Outstanding Drama Series category. Nor did its nomination lead translate into the most wins overall: The Studio won 13. Nominations, total wins and the top series prize are different measures of success.

What Apple did not win
Apple did not take the top drama prize. The Pitt won Outstanding Drama Series, and Noah Wyle won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series over Severance star Adam Scott, according to the Associated Press ceremony report. Apple won comedy’s top series award through The Studio, but its 22-win haul was not a sweep of the leading comedy and drama categories.
The scale of the result is clearer alongside the nominations. Apple had 81 nominations across 14 titles, with Severance on 27 and The Studio on 23, according to Apple’s nominations announcement. The Studio turned its first-season recognition into a record total; Severance converted a leading nomination count into eight wins, including pivotal acting honors. Those are substantial awards achievements, but Emmy results alone do not establish subscriber growth or streaming-market leadership.
The Studio and Severance are available on Apple TV+; an Apple-branded streaming device is not required where the service is supported.
