Apple Music offers Replay insights by month, not just an annual recap. In the Music app, open Home, scroll to Replay: Your Top Music, then choose Go back in time or the month you want. If the card is missing, visit replay.music.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for Apple Music.
Find Monthly Replay in the Music app
- Update the Music app and your device’s operating system.
- Open Music on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
- Tap Home.
- Scroll to Replay: Your Top Music, then select Go back in time or the monthly Replay you want.
Apple’s documented labels are Home, Replay: Your Top Music, and Go back in time. The card’s wording and placement can vary by device, app version, account eligibility, and rollout.

Use Replay on a computer or when the app card is missing
- Go to replay.music.apple.com.
- Sign in with the Apple Account associated with your Apple Music subscription.
- Select Jump In, then choose the Replay period you want.
The website is a useful option on Windows, where you should not assume the Music app has the same Replay controls as the phone apps. Apple’s support instructions cover web access on Mac and PC as well as iPhone, iPad, and Android. The service’s availability and presentation can vary by country or region.
Monthly stats and the Replay playlist are different
| What you’re viewing | Monthly Replay insights | Replay playlist |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Listening statistics for a particular month | A playlist of your top songs |
| Time period | An individual month | The current year, previous years, or all time, where available |
| Updates | Month-based insights; Apple does not specify a universal release day or exact cutoff | The current-year playlist is updated weekly |
| Contents | Top songs, artists, albums, and listening milestones | Top songs to play |
| Where to find it | Music app or Replay website | Music app and Replay areas |
Apple describes month-by-month and year-end Replay access in its iOS 26 feature documentation. The monthly statistics page is not simply another name for the playlist.

What to check if Monthly Replay is missing
- Check your Apple Account. Make sure the app or website is signed into the account you use for Apple Music. For a Family plan, use your own member account rather than the organizer’s: Apple says each family member has a personal account, library, recommendations, and playlists (Apple Music).
- Confirm your subscription or eligible trial. Installing the Music app alone does not provide Replay data. Apple ties web access to the Apple Account associated with an Apple Music subscription.
- Turn on Use Listening History. Apple identifies this setting as important for Replay. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Apps > Music and turn on Use Listening History. On Mac, open Music and choose Music > Settings > General, then select Use Listening History. On Android, open Apple Music, tap More > Settings, and turn on Use Listening History.
- Check every device you listen on. A device with Listening History disabled may leave activity from that device out of your history. Enabling it now does not come with an Apple guarantee that every missing past month will be reconstructed.
- Update and try the website. Install available Music app and operating system updates, then check the Replay website in case the in-app card is difficult to locate.
- Give Replay more listening history to work with. Apple says Replay appears once you have played enough music, but does not publish a fixed public minimum number of plays, minutes, or days.
- Allow for a completed period and refresh. Apple does not specify a universal publication day, cutoff time, or promise of real-time statistics for an in-progress month. If the latest month is absent, check again after the month closes and Replay has had time to refresh.
- Check regional availability. Apple notes that its services and features can vary by country or region.
How Replay calculates your insights
Apple says Replay uses your listening history, number of plays, and time spent listening to rank your top songs, artists, and albums. Eligible monthly views can also include listening milestones, and Apple provides personalized insights that can be shared. Apple does not publish a complete methodology for every edge case, so Replay is best treated as a personalized summary, not an exact ledger of every listening event.
If a ranking looks unexpected, possible explanations include Listening History being off, activity recorded under another Apple Account, offline playback that has not synchronized, multiple accounts or profiles, or data that has not yet processed. You may also be comparing a monthly statistics period with a weekly-updated playlist. Apple does not document a universal rule for every playback type, so an unexpected total alone does not establish that a particular kind of listening is excluded.

Sharing a Replay
Apple lets listeners share personalized Replay insights, including top artists and milestones. Sharing controls depend on what you are viewing: a monthly insight card, a playlist, and the year-end Highlight Reel do not necessarily offer identical options. On iPhone and Android, the year-end Highlight Reel can be shared as a video after it finishes preparing.
