What does the documentary say about the Alexander brothers’ early years?
Executive producer Emma Schwartz said the filmmakers investigated the brothers’ upbringing in a wealthy Miami enclave after their immigrant parents built a business. The production also reported stories and allegations from former high-school peers, including material connected to a police report describing an allegation from that period.
Those accounts are presented as reported background and testimony. How should viewers interpret the claim that early years “led to” sex crimes?
The most accurate reading is that the documentary investigates possible formative context, not that it demonstrates causation. Is the documentary itself part of the trial record?
