In the United States, eligible subscribers can watch most on-demand titles from Hulu’s streaming library in Disney+, but Disney+ does not carry all Hulu content. Hulu + Live TV channels, Hulu add-on content and some other titles still require the Hulu app. A Disney+ subscription by itself provides only a limited rotating selection of Hulu titles, not a full Hulu subscription.
Which Hulu content is available in Disney+?
Disney describes the integration as access to most titles from the Hulu streaming library. That includes eligible Hulu Originals, television episodes, movies, reality and unscripted shows, and other general-entertainment programming. Some current-season or next-day episodes may be available, subject to rights and title availability. The integration launched for U.S. Disney Bundle subscribers on March 27, 2024; it has since expanded, but access remains selective rather than a complete catalog migration. There is no permanent, exhaustive list of every Hulu title available in Disney+. Licensing, live-versus-on-demand classification, geography, plan and add-on restrictions, and catalog changes can all affect availability. Search Disney+ for a particular title rather than assuming it is included because it appears in Hulu.
Disney+ subscribers without a qualifying Hulu subscription may see a limited, rotating selection labeled Hulu Favorites, On Us. That preview is not full Hulu access. Disney’s guide to watching Hulu on Disney+ explains the preview and related features.

What still requires the Hulu app?
- Hulu + Live TV: Live channels and live programming remain in Hulu; Disney+ is not a substitute for the Live TV interface or channel lineup.
- Hulu add-ons: Content accessed through Hulu premium add-ons is not currently available in Disney+.
- Some on-demand titles: Disney says most, not all, of the Hulu streaming library is available in Disney+. A title may remain accessible only in Hulu.
- Hulu account and billing tasks: Watching eligible titles in Disney+ does not necessarily move subscription management there. Manage Hulu through the Hulu account page or the provider that bills you, as applicable.
Hulu and Disney+ are more integrated, but they are not one fully interchangeable app. Disney’s bundle and account guidance and Hulu access help page describe the remaining distinctions.
Which plans qualify for Hulu in Disney+?
The following describes U.S. availability. The key distinction is whether the account has a qualifying Hulu subscription, not simply whether it has Disney+.

Disney’s eligibility guidance lists qualifying subscription types. Hulu + Live TV is distinct from the standard Disney+/Hulu bundle: buying that bundle does not add live channels.
How to watch Hulu through Disney+
- Open the Disney+ app on a supported device or visit DisneyPlus.com.
- Sign in with the MyDisney email associated with your Hulu subscription. If you subscribed through a bundle, make sure Hulu has been activated when required.
- Choose the Hulu icon in Disney+ navigation, browse the home page or search for a specific show or movie.
- Open the title and check that it is included with your plan rather than requiring Hulu Live TV, an add-on or another service.
Linked profiles may receive Hulu recommendations in For You, eligible titles in Continue Watching and saved Hulu titles in My Stuff or the Disney+ watchlist. These features are described in Disney’s viewing guide.

- Confirm your plan. Disney+ alone does not unlock the full Hulu library.
- Check the login email. Disney says the Disney+ login email must match the email associated with the Hulu subscription. See Disney’s Hulu login help.
- Activate Hulu if you have a bundle. A bundle subscriber may need to activate Hulu separately before signing in to the Hulu app.
- Check the content type. Live programming and add-on content stay in Hulu; some on-demand titles may also be excluded from Disney+.
- Search Disney+ directly. A title may not be prominent in the Hulu hub even if it is available through search.
- Check location and billing. This integration is described here for the United States. Third-party billing can affect eligibility, account linking or price.
- Try Hulu. If a title appears in Hulu but not Disney+, it may be outside the Disney+ integration rather than missing from your subscription.

Downloads and simultaneous streams
Downloads depend on the plan, title and device. Disney says Disney+ Premium subscribers and eligible Hulu Premium subscribers can download select Hulu content through Disney+. Hulu downloads may be limited to 25 downloads across five supported mobile devices at a time. Downloads are not generally available through TV-connected devices, computers or Windows 10 and 11 tablets for Disney+ content. Check Disney’s download guidance and the Hulu integration terms for current details; not every title is downloadable.
Hulu content streamed through Disney+ may be limited to two devices simultaneously. Other stream limits differ by service and plan, and Hulu + Live TV has separate rules. For comparison, Hulu’s signup page listed Hulu With Ads at $11.99 per month and Hulu With Ads + Live TV at $89.99 per month. These are displayed U.S. price signals, not a guarantee of the price available to every account; check Hulu’s current plans.
Choose the standard Disney+/Hulu bundle for on-demand viewing
It suits households that will watch both Disney+ and Hulu programming and want much of Hulu’s on-demand selection in one interface. At the displayed direct-billed prices, the $12.99 bundle is only $1 more per month than the listed $11.99 Hulu With Ads standalone price, so it may be a better fit if you will use Disney+. The bundle does not provide Hulu Live TV or make every Hulu title available in Disney+.

Choose standalone Hulu if Hulu is all you need
If you do not want Disney+, a standalone Hulu plan keeps Hulu as your primary service. It also makes sense for viewers who rely on Hulu’s own app features or want access to Hulu content that is not included in Disney+.
Choose Hulu + Live TV for live channels
For local stations, live news, sports or other live channels, Hulu + Live TV is the relevant product, not the standard Disney+/Hulu bundle. Live programming and Hulu add-ons require Hulu, so this option is a poor match if your only goal is low-cost on-demand viewing.

Consider Premium only for its features
The Premium bundle costs more and is best considered when fewer on-demand ads, supported downloads or other Disney+ Premium features matter to the household. It does not remove every possible ad, make all Hulu titles downloadable or bring Live TV into Disney+.
Add ESPN or Max only if you will use them
ESPN bundle tiers and the Disney+/Hulu/Max bundle can make sense for households already paying for those services separately. They add cost without improving Hulu-on-Disney+ access itself; neither eliminates the Hulu app requirement for live programming and add-ons.
Is Hulu moving entirely into Disney+?
Disney has expanded the combined viewing experience, but its current help documentation still identifies Hulu content and features that remain in Hulu. There is no basis here to treat the Hulu app as discontinued or the entire Hulu catalog as migrated.
