The 15th anniversary of Shady Records, a renowned label known for its influence in the naughts, was recently commemorated with an exclusive documentary. In this half-hour film commissioned by Complex magazine, Eminem and his team—including Paul Rosenberg, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, and Royce Da 5’9—tell the incredible story of their rise to fame.
Shady Records’ double disk album release titled Shady XV served as a celebration of its anniversary but didn’t provide much insight into the label’s remarkable history. To answer this call and recount the fascinating journey that led to the label’s success, a team was assembled to put together the documentary featuring interviews with those involved with Shady Records.
