One of the most renowned and influential architects of modern times, Le Corbusier left an indelible mark on the architectural landscape with his iconic designs. One such classic example is the simple hut on the Côte d‘Azur, which stands as a testament to his genius.
Built in 1927, this humble structure can be seen as a perfect example of Le Corbusier’s signature style: large windows that let in plenty of natural light while providing a stunning view of the ocean; minimalist and functional design; and an open floor plan that encourages air circulation and provides plenty of space for gathering. Not only has this structure become an emblematic part of the landscape, but it also serves as a living embodiment of Corbusier’s ideas and ideals about architecture.
