The duo take on the difficult task of living for two weeks on roughly $2 a day in an industrial slum in Indonesia, while attempting to come to terms with the working conditions that Nike’s employees are subjected to. A mixture of interviews with factory workers, company executives, and activists highlight the disparity between what is being said by Nike’s representatives and what is actually happening every day in their factories.
This eye-opening documentary gives viewers a deeper understanding of how exploitation exists within globalized capitalism today while showcasing resilience and strength among those most affected by these exploitative practices. As well as shining a light on the challenges faced by many around the world, this film also celebrates acts of resistance and progress made by individuals who are standing up against injustice.
