In Fireboy and Watergirl in the Light Temple, players control two characters, Fireboy and Watergirl, who must work together to solve puzzles and complete levels. Fireboy can walk through fire without taking damage and collect red gems, while Watergirl can pass through water unhindered and collect blue gems. Together, they must traverse treacherous platforms full of obstacles in order to find each level’s exit. On their journey they will encounter switches which activate bridges or open doors, as well as deadly enemies such as spiders and slime monsters.

Fireboy and Watergirl in the Light Temple features 50 challenging levels in four different temples – The Forest Temple, The Ice Temple, The Wind Temple, and The Light Temple. Each temple has its own unique set of rules that must be adhered to for success; for example, Fireboy can’t touch water in any temple while Watergirl cannot enter fire-based areas.
