Rodalius Ryan
Ryan pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to violate Georgia’s anti-racketeering law. Judge Whitaker accepted a 10-year sentence commuted to time served. That did not mean Ryan was released: the AP reported that he remained behind bars while serving a separate life sentence for murder, which was being appealed at the time. Ryan’s attorney, Leah Abbasi, said the defense denied that YSL was the criminal street gang prosecutors alleged.
Marquavius Huey
Huey pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and charges involving robbery, firearms, gang activity and aggravated assault. His accepted 25-year sentence comprised nine years in prison, 11 years on probation and five years suspended. The AP reported that prosecutors agreed some sentences could run concurrently. Huey’s attorney, Careton Matthews Sr., said the defense disputed some allegations but recognized sufficient evidence for the counts to which Huey pleaded guilty.

What was Quamarvious Nichols’s plea?
Quamarvious Nichols, also known as Qua, pleaded guilty on October 29, the day before Ryan and Huey. Atlanta News First reported that he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to attempt to violate RICO, with several remaining charges dropped, and received a 20-year sentence with seven years on probation. Because news accounts use differing shorthand for the plea, that charge description and sentence detail are attributed here to Atlanta News First.
How the plea day fit into the case
The October 30 report was a snapshot during a long-running trial, not its conclusion. The AP said jury selection began in January 2023 and took nearly 10 months; opening statements began in November 2023. At the time, nine defendants had accepted plea deals before trial, 12 others were being tried separately, and charges against one defendant had been dropped after an unrelated murder conviction. Those counts describe the case as reported on October 30, 2024, not a current tally.
Rank #2
The meaning of YSL was contested. Prosecutors alleged that Young Thug co-founded a criminal street gang called Young Slime Life. The defense described YSL as Young Stoner Life, his record label. Those are opposing positions in the case, not an uncontested description of the group.

The trial later reached a verdict. The AP reported that Deamonte Kendrick was acquitted of all charges, while Shannon Stillwell was found guilty only of gun possession. Stillwell received a 10-year sentence, with credit for two years served and the balance on probation. The AP also reported that nine defendants, including Gunna, had taken plea deals before trial and four more pleaded guilty during the trial in October. These later developments should not be confused with the October 30 plea-day account. Associated Press report on the verdict.
