How the wordplay works
The first three groups connect words by meaning or association: ways to eat eagerly, ways to yield under pressure, and familiar nautical tattoo motifs. In the final group, adding one letter to a body-part term produces each answer: BUTT becomes BUTTE, CHIN becomes CHINA, HEART becomes HEARTH, and SHIN becomes SHINE.
