To check when your YouTube live-streaming restriction ends, sign in to YouTube Studio with the affected channel and review Dashboard → Channel violations, the Content tab, and YouTube’s email or account notifications. Use the channel-specific enforcement notice for the restriction type and any end date YouTube provides; there is no universal public lookup that reveals the exact end timestamp for every channel.
How to check your restriction in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio using the channel that cannot live stream. Make sure you have selected the affected channel if your Google account manages more than one.
- On the Dashboard, find Channel violations. YouTube identifies this card as the place to review and appeal a Community Guidelines strike.
- Open the Content tab and look for a notice connected to the relevant video or live stream. YouTube says copyright and Community Guidelines strikes can appear in the Studio dashboard or Content tab.
- Check the email address associated with the channel, including relevant YouTube notifications on desktop or mobile. YouTube says it notifies creators about strikes and live-streaming restrictions.
- Read the notice for the restriction type, cited policy, issue or acknowledgement information, and any end date or review details shown for your channel. If YouTube does not show an exact date, do not calculate one from a generic “live streaming disabled” message; use the notice and the channel’s current Studio status.
- If the action appears mistaken and an appeal option is available, review the appeal guidance before acting. Eligible Community Guidelines strikes can be appealed from the Channel violations card.
These checks help distinguish an account-specific restriction from a general live-streaming error. A disabled feature alone does not establish why access was removed or when it will return.
Why there may not be a single end date to look up
YouTube’s published time periods apply to particular Community Guidelines strike penalties. They are not a universal countdown for every cause of disabled live streaming. A strike on an active or archived live stream may disable live-stream access, and YouTube also identifies other policy- or feature-related circumstances that can restrict live streaming. The enforcement notice for the affected channel is the reliable place to identify the action.
Community Guidelines strike versus other restriction
Check the notice to determine whether YouTube identifies a Community Guidelines strike, a copyright strike, or another feature restriction. Copyright and Community Guidelines strikes are separate enforcement types; do not apply a Community Guidelines posting-freeze duration to a copyright action or a different live-stream restriction.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Issued date versus acknowledgement date
For a first Community Guidelines strike, YouTube says the one-week posting freeze begins when the creator acknowledges the strike. That is different from the date the strike was issued. Use the date specified in the notice and do not substitute one date for the other.
Published Community Guidelines strike durations
| Situation | Published consequence | What the period means |
|---|---|---|
| First Community Guidelines strike | Posting, including live streams, is blocked for one week. | The freeze starts when the creator acknowledges the strike. YouTube says full privileges are restored automatically after the week; the strike remains on the channel for 90 days. |
| Second strike within the same 90-day period | No posting for two weeks. | If there is no further issue, full privileges return after the freeze. Each strike expires 90 days from when it was issued. |
| Three strikes within the same 90-day period | The channel may be terminated. | This is a potential consequence, not a guaranteed outcome. |
These are YouTube’s standard Community Guidelines strike rules, not a promise that every live-streaming restriction lasts one or two weeks. If your notice gives a different basis or specific review information, follow the notice rather than estimating an end date from the table.

How to appeal an eligible strike
- In YouTube Studio, open Dashboard → Channel violations.
- Choose Appeal on the eligible Community Guidelines warning or strike and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Submit within six months of the warning or strike. YouTube permits one appeal per strike and sends the outcome by email.
Do not delete the video before reviewing the appeal instructions: deleting it does not clear the strike and may remove the ability to appeal that video. If Studio does not show an appeal option, do not assume the action is appealable through the same process.
Do not try to bypass an active restriction
Do not use or create another channel to evade a live-streaming restriction. YouTube says circumvention can result in termination of channels connected with the creator. Resolve the restriction through the affected channel’s notice and any appeal process available there.
