Candice King—credited during The Vampire Diaries as Candice Accola—continued acting after playing Caroline Forbes. Her recent prominent screen role is Bess Sinclair in We Were Liars, and she hosts A Superbloom Podcast, a show about hardship, grief, and growth.
Her recent acting role: Bess Sinclair in We Were Liars
King plays Bess Sinclair in We Were Liars, the Prime Video adaptation of E. Lockhart’s young-adult novel. A June 18, 2025 Collider interview listing described the part as a new series-regular role and reported that the full season was then available on Prime Video. An August 2025 TV Insider cast update also identifies King as Bess and names Prime Video as the series’ home. Streaming catalogs vary by country and change over time, so check Prime Video in your territory for current availability.

Collider’s listing says King appeared in more than 170 episodes of The Vampire Diaries. That is Collider’s reported figure, rather than an independently audited episode count.
She also hosts A Superbloom Podcast
King’s podcast is a separate public-facing project from her screen work. Its official host page describes conversations with people who have faced roadblocks, grief, or difficult times and explores how those experiences shaped their growth and next chapters. The page credits Melisa D. Monts and Diamond MPrint Productions as producers.

The show page frames the premise in King’s own first-person voice: “This is what our host, Candice King, wants.” It continues: “Life has felt like one rainstorm after another and now, after laying dormant for a bit, I’m ready for a superbloom.” These lines appear as copy on the official podcast page.
Other post-Vampire Diaries credits
A 2026 ComingSoon.it profile lists additional credits after her run as Caroline Forbes, including The Originals, Legacies, Christmas in Tune, and Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story. These are a brief recap of reported past work; they do not establish an upcoming project slate.
