Bob Odenkirk can imagine four Nobody films, but that is not an official sequel announcement. In August 2025, he described how the Mansell family could change as the children grow up; the report said Nobody 3 had not been greenlit at that time.
What did Bob Odenkirk say about more Nobody films?
In interview coverage published August 12, 2025, Odenkirk said, “I think there’s four films.” His reasoning was rooted in the story’s family: the children age between installments, giving the filmmakers a chance to revisit Hutch Mansell and his family at different stages of life and marriage. ComicBook’s report presents this as Odenkirk’s creative vision, not a studio commitment.
The number is best understood as the scale of a story he could imagine, not a confirmed four-film slate. The same August 2025 report said Nobody 3 had not been greenlit as of publication.
Is Nobody 3 officially happening?
The cited reporting does not establish that Nobody 3 is in production, scheduled, or approved. Odenkirk’s interest in continuing Hutch’s story—and ideas about where it might go—are different from a greenlight. No release date should be inferred from his comments.

In an August 2025 interview with the Associated Press, Odenkirk suggested a bleak ending for a possible third film: “Yeah, the moral would be that everything he loves is gone.” He connected that imagined outcome to Hutch’s destructive relationship with violence. That is a possible creative direction, not confirmation that a sequel is being made. The Associated Press interview discusses the idea in that context.
Don’t confuse Nobody with Odenkirk’s other franchise talk
A later Los Angeles Times interview, published April 15, 2026, discussed extending Ulysses, Odenkirk’s character in Normal, into an ongoing franchise. Those remarks concern a different character and film, not Hutch Mansell or Nobody 3. The interview also mentions a separate action-film idea inspired by early Jackie Chan movies; it is not described as a Nobody sequel. The Los Angeles Times interview makes that distinction clear.

Why Nobody is called John Wick-like
The comparison is about the action-thriller territory: Nobody follows an apparently ordinary man with a violent past, and Derek Kolstad is connected to both action franchises. That does not establish a crossover or shared universe. The available reporting identifies no shared continuity between Hutch Mansell and John Wick.
The series also has its own family-centered emphasis. In an August 2025 interview, Nobody 2 director Timo Tjahjanto said he wanted a “much more positive” and “much more warm” film than he was usually used to making. SYFY Wire’s interview with Tjahjanto describes the sequel’s family focus and tonal approach.
